delete Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Hey guys, I'm having a big problem with my laptop. The right internal speaker is normal volume, but the left one is really quiet if not silent. Any help with this? Here's something that I think may have caused it, recently me earphones stopped working for my laptop so I looked it up and it said to just rapidly plug it in and out a couple of times. And that worked, but only recently my left speaker hasn't been working well so I think that somehow my laptop is recognising me earphones being in my laptop. This is just a thought but it seems likely. Any help? I'd really appreciate it, I can't listen to music properly if the left speaker isn't working. Quote

delete Posted February 5, 2014 Author Posted February 5, 2014 Gonna have to take it in for repairs, sounds like you jabbed it enough to knock it out/loose.. Things is though, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. So surely somehow there could be something I could do? Back to your reply, do you have a rough idea of where I could go and how much it's gonna cost? And will my laptop need to be on when they repair it? Cos I've got stuff like utorrent on here and other things like that. Quote

Can check to see what local places offer repairs, shouldn't cost you more than $50 at most, don't worry about having that on there they cannot report you for having it..If you want just take shortcut off desktop..They don't need to enter anywhere but the control panel to test repairs out. Aero Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Its unlikely to fix it, but have you tried uninstalling the sound drivers then restarting the laptop and letting it reinstall them? That fixes things more than it should lol Quote
