Titavius Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 (edited) I didn't really want to do this in the older sections as it'd just end up getting lost, and at least here we're all current and active. Basically, if anybody has SVR, SVR 06 or Here Comes The Pain on disk, would they be willing to dig out the arena textures from them? Specifically, I need the ramp/stage textures from the Raw arenas, preferably from SVR 06 (as I guess it's the most current of the three). It doesn't matter if it's small or pixelated.. if anything, it's a good reference for me, or can be doctored in Photoshop. It might even be 256x256 in size, in which case it's perfect. Any help would be great! Thanks Edited February 3, 2014 by Titan83 Quote
UndertakerWLF Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I think I have the discs somewhere but have never even attempted to rip them. Quote
Titavius Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 I think I have the discs somewhere but have never even attempted to rip them. do you think it's an easy task? or is a different process to the newer games? Quote
UndertakerWLF Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 most l;ikely a different process, never touched the PS2 side to be honest. Quote
coroner Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 (edited) I have HCTP, I'll try to dig around for the arena textures tomorrow morning when I have some time. It's a slightly different method than ripping current textures, I know the wrestler textures are compressed as CH, and CH2 on the disk, andneed to be uncompressed into individual pac's, after that the textures can be extracted easily with X-Packer, I never extracted the arenas from them though. Titavius Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 in case anybody wants to have a crack at trying to extract the textures, here's the BG.PAC from the SVR 06 ISO. i guess i'm just gonna leave this to the professionals! http://www.sendspace.com/file/8hsrk7 Quote
UndertakerWLF Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I can do it using RRunpack, quickbms and xpacker Quote
deadman04 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I know for a fact that the aprons in HCTP within the pac is under eaprons1, or something rather. Did it years ago, but if I could remember, it was lower quality and probably look out of place (that's for aprons though) Quote
UndertakerWLF Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 To be honest they dont look that bad, there is a slight loss of quality but they are okay for what they are and provide a great template if you want to re-create the apron form scratch. Quote
coroner Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) I extracted the HCTP Arena textures but they aren't named, so I added an arena list found at OSR.They are still in .tm2 format, so you will need OPTPiX or something similar if you want to view/change their format.http://www.sendspace.com/file/d43u82 Edited February 4, 2014 by coroner Quote
Judders Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 What do you use to open that file type? Quote
coroner Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I use OPTPiX to open/view .tm2 files, then you can save them in any format if you want to use them in Photoshop. Quote
UndertakerWLF Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) You don't need Optix Use this... http://www.mediafire.com/download/0lw973jsp2b04yd/sagethumbs_2.0.0.15_setup.rar Just select all files, right click and convert to your desired format.
