King Paulie Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 This is awesome, Vries' Rollin's face is always the best. Only fault I see is his chest piece shirt thingy, but you already know that and seem to be addressing that concern. Looking forward to this guys. Quote
Righteous Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Good stuff right there! Tweaks are nicely noticeable. Quote

AgeofSandow Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 might be hard to answer, but how exactly do you make good CAWS? I have tried to do a CAW at times in 12, 13, and now... I use good reference pics and I've played with designs but it still doesn't seem to look right. any tips? 1 Quote

I can't really comment on this one as it was well on it's way before I got my hands on it, but, generally: Get ALL the ref pics, make a collage, but also keep the originals, make a folder and flick through them all for reference Have a decent understanding of caw mode, what you can achieve with morphing, detail using the 'letters' and shading using designs and trans how would your guy look as an IGM (in-game-model) know what you want - imagine the best-case-scenario of how you want your caw to turn out keep tweaking - Rome wasn't built in a day, leave it, go back, improve it Hope that helps. On topic: This is gonna turn out great Quote

On topic: This is gonna turn out great Like your idea of ref pics, I'll try that out. For CAW mode, I'm still learning and trying new things, especially with designs. Never tried letters, how should I use those? Good idea Again good idea I do that; I'm patient. If there's anything you can respond to me, send me a PM. I won't disrupt this topic. The CAWs are great. I use good reference pics and I've played with designs but it still doesn't seem to look right. any tips? I know this was for Godflow but figured I'd share my method because I'm bored lol. I get one really good straight forward shot, a side profile shot, and a slightly turned shot and try to replicate that one picture. I don't use a lot of refs like others. Depending on the angle of the photo things may vary so it's better to focus on one and replicate it. As an artist for me I break it down similar to the way I would draw it. Know the basic layout of the human face and how things are spaced. Then I look at the ref pic and start replicating the spacing. Distance between eyes, distance from bottom of nose to bottom of eye, ect. Once I space it out I look at key features of the wrestler and either use designs or exaggerate those features to make it appear as I see the wrestler and not relying on spacing alone to make it look like the guy. Sometimes the morphing can be on point and it still doesn't look right. Contrary to what most say, it doesn't take very long to make a good CAW. You just have to learn the mode. Think of it like a game like Halo or COD. The first time you play a map others know like the back of their hand you are going to get buried. Once you learn the map layout and the secrets you know where you can go and where to avoid. That's how CAW mode is. Once u learn it, it's easy. That's why all of the good cawers can drop so many good caws and rarely lay an egg. Also don't get into the process of using formulas to make caws. It's better to make a shitty CAW then to use someone's old formula because you learn the mode. Once you finish your shitty one then go to someone's formula and compare it to yours and see what parts of the face gave you the biggest problem and how they handled it. Hope it helps. Quote

huh Posted July 15, 2014 Author Posted July 15, 2014 Update. Not completely happy with the face, so I want suggestions. Quote
Big Pete® Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) looks decent, but as I guessed.. you was wrong with your earlier claims. Edited July 15, 2014 by Big Pete® Quote
NickBreaker Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 (edited) Don't use the 3D Beard It really is the best look, from someone who has this caw, you gotta believe me it's the best choice. Update is wicked, loving the changes, would add a little bit of height to the eyes so he's not oriental in matches. skin choice is the best one I think. Still think the hair logos on the right should be angled more like in these pictures. Attires. Liking how they are looking for the most part. I see you've changed the top on the new attire, it's not quite as accurate as it was before. Hope the SMK chest logo for the new attire is there too. Really keen to get this one out soon. Pac. Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I think it's easily the best Rollins face ever. I definitely like the old top better, and I dunno if it's the pics, but maybe lighten the shirt/tights so the designs stand out more. Quote
WolfgangJT Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I'd personally shift to skin 12. Also, IMO, increase the eye height (open them up more) Quote
huh Posted July 16, 2014 Author Posted July 16, 2014 Yeah I'll definitely increase eye height. I didn't pick that top because of how it glitches out around the armpit area and it's a lot more visible without that chest armour thing. And yes NickBreaker SMK's chest piece is on it, and everything sticks out more ingame. I'll probably lighten the shirt a little also. And I'll add designs so it's more accurate, still got a few layers left I think. There's gonna be a NXT slot coming soon also, and a Tyler Black slot. Thanks for the kind words from most of you, and the 3D Beard won't be on the other slots, and they'll probably have slightly diff body morphs. Quote
huh Posted July 21, 2014 Author Posted July 21, 2014 (edited) Once I get XBL Gold, Rollins will be uploaded. Edited July 23, 2014 by godflow Quote
