bluemonkeydave
when I open the mods, is it normal to have dummy files in there? http://postimg.org/image/r0j6oh2mj/ Edited January 22, 2014 by bluemonkeydave
bluemonkeydave
Also, just to confirm, when I update the ARC I am left with two files, the arc file and a .bak file. I am just deleting the .bak file, that's right isn't it!?
tekken57
The bak file is a backup which is created by X-Packer. You can safely delete this if your changes are ok. Do this. Start with a new arc file and boot the game. If it loads fine then open your pac file in x-packer. It should list the alternate attires. The 000dum files are fine and are not added to the arc by x-packer. Click the "Add alternate attires to arc button". This will add the neccessary entries to the arc file. Copy the arc and your pac file to your xbox. Start the game up. Edited January 22, 2014 by tekken57
bluemonkeydave
didn't work, used a clean Arc and booted fine. Opened a downloaded Mod (Y2J 10 attires) using Ctrl and X and 'Added alt attires to Arc' did both arcs. Copied over to hdd, overwrite the working files and it crashes on the opening black screen. bluemonkeydave
On a side note, X-Packer made two back ups of each file that time. I ignored those
bluemonkeydave
The things I can think of... I am running Windows 8 (although have set compatibility of your packer to windows 7) I am using a PAL version of the game ripped through xbox backup Creator
bluemonkeydave
I have tried using an older version of x-packer for updating the Arc and it hangs on the first black screen with the WWE logo spinning, least it doesn't Fatal crash... Still no luck, surely I can't be that unlucky that I am the only person in teh world who cannot patch the game!?!?!
bluemonkeydave
so after further testing it's DEF the Arc files. I have added mods and updated the other files fine but as soon as I update the Arcs it crashes on start up...so strange. Any ideas what may be causing this? do the .def files need to be in the same directory when they're modded?
phoenix66
First of, the .def-files have to be in the same folder as the .arc-files. Have you added a new ch___.pac file? Or edited an existing one? What did you want to do since the last time your game worked fine? I must admit, because of your switching between different mods, I'm kinda confused... So, to help you out, let's take step after step. Start with the files, your game worked fine the last time. Either put back the files in that state or start with a fresh version. Then tell me, what you want to do: - add a new pac or a new attire and for which wrestler? Remember, one after another... Then I'll tell you, how to add it... bluemonkeydave
hi mate, just tried some new files and they didn't work. Tried on my existing installation on my external hdd (works fine with default Arcs) no good Did a completely new rip of the game and put on my internal hdd (works fine with default Arcs) and added your files - didn't work Tried the Updating Arc process again on my fresh Arc and again failed...baffling, it just doesn't work!! ...I don't suppose it matters that my console is RGH rather than jtag does it!? I have a completely new and fresh install and save on my internal drive. For an example, I would like to add the Mark Henry mod here as an alt attire -
