gamingfan
Hi guys and gals, hope to shed some light on this cause I've been able to add wrestlers in DLC pack 3. First of all, dlc packs 3-5 are different, cause they`ve got additional content like the superstars pack. This means, that below the entries for each dlc wrestler there is a bunch of additional data. Here is what I did to get a new dlc slot to work in dlc pack 3 (pictures will be added later): 1. Open the dlc pack 3 with a hex editor. Each dlc wrestler slot begins with the following hex codes: 40 00 For example The Giant, the first wrestler slot, starts with 40 00 05 00 01 003. The slot ends with 65 20 61 74, as the codes 40 00 06 are the beginning of the nWo Theme pack. 2. Copy all hex codes between (and including) 40 00 05 and 65 20 61 74 3. Insert this starting with the hexcode of 40 00 06 You should now see the entry of The Giant twice. I am not getting step 3 mate Should I copy all these codes from 40 00 05 00 01 00 03 00 00 00 05 00 00 00 00 00 7F 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 54 68 65 20 47 69 61 6E 74 20 28 3F 4E 2E 57 2E 4F 2E 3F 20 61 6C 74 65 72 6E 61 74 65 20 61 74 and insert it after giant code and change the value of 40 00 05 to 40 00 06 Is the above process correct? Should I also change this value FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 00 00 01 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF Rebuilding the DLC using lefluffie is it required or just fixing it is enough. phoenix66
@gamingfan: Copy the code 40 00 05 00 01 00 03 00 00 00 05 00 00 00 00 00 7F 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 54 68 65 20 47 69 61 6E 74 20 28 3F 4E 2E 57 2E 4F 2E 3F 20 61 6C 74 65 72 6E 61 74 65 20 61 74 and insert it after the Giant code like you said. You don`t need to change the 40 05 to 40 06 in the hex editor. You can do that later on in X-PacKer as it is the ID in the dlc pack. And I didn`t have to change the FF`s. Just change the first line 44 4C 43 43 02 00 1C 00 03 00 12 00 04 to 44 4C 43 43 02 00 1C 00 03 00 12 00 05 for the new slot to show up in X-PacKer. And you don`t need to rebuild the dlc file in Le Fluffie. Just replace the catalog.dlc with your new one and fix/sign for dev live. I`m going to add some screens as promised later tonight to make it more clear. Hope that helps in the meantime... gamingfan
@phoenix66 Did you check it in-game after changing the values? It's still corrupting the DLC.
phoenix66
@gamingfan Have a look at my previous post, as I`ve added some screenshots. They were taken while I was adding a new dlc slot from scratch for the dlc 3 catalog.dlc. Of course, the appropriate wrestler id in your savegame file has to be matching the dlc pack, you have been adding to. Sorry, I can`t take pics of the ingame select screen at the moment. But believe me, I just wrestled Aksana with my newly added Victoria mod (will be released as soon as I`m able to take pics of her... ) Hope the screens will help you to add a dlc slot. phoenix66
@motishow Sorry, but I don`t know what you`re talking about. As far as I know, because it worked for me, there are only these things required to get a dlc slot in dlc pack 3 to work. First, all the steps I mentioned in my post above (haven`t left anything out) Second, open your savefile with X-PacKer (wrestler info), open the slot you are going to add, and change the "playable" part to yes, as well as the dlc number to 3. I didn`t change any FF´s in hex...

RedRooster detailed how to do this somewhere, but the process described above is correct." I am asking about that
phoenix66
@motishow Maybe he is talking about what to do, when you add a new dlc slot from scratch. Or he is referencing what the "playable" part in the wrestler info does in hex, instead of X-PacKer. Best is to ask him or RedRooster. All I did was copying an already unlocked slot (in this case the Giant). Again, I took an original catalog.dlc from the original dlc 3-file. Then I copied the Giant-slot, changed the number of slots included (from 04 to 05 -step 4-). The rest was done in X-PacKer and Le Fluffie. Now the added wrestler is shown in the game. thanks to phoenix and motishow for helping me. Will test with DLC 4 and DLC 5 and will post the results. tekken57
Interesting. I've always taken the approach of editing the catalog file in the actual dlc. So this means that the dlc container somehows checks that the catalog file is the original file. Interesting.
