[PS3] how to inject textures into painttool WITHOUT Jailbreak

Yes, on 360 you only have to do step 1-4. You can skip the rest, simply copy the 00paintool.pt file on you 360.

Hey i Am trying to Follow this tut , doing the first 4 steps for the Xbox , i did everything you said and it appears here

but when i try to put it on the apron its blank ? any idea why ?

open and resave the texture in create a logo

Please help me
 
-I resize the picture to 256x256 using Microsoft Office picture manager
-upon saving the resized picture, I rechecked it and the size is now 256x236(I think that is still okay)
-I open the picture using PAINT.NET. I saved it as .DDS/ A8R8G8B8
-But when I tried to saved it in slot 1, I got this message....

NO, the size has to be 256x256. Anything else won't work, create in PAINT.NET a transparent 256x256 image and copy/paste your picture into it and save as .dds file.

Instead of 78 DA EC i get 78 01 ED ON THE HEX EDITOR.

Nevermind made a mistake.

 

What was your mistake?  I also get 78 01 ED.

Why when I open the logo in the game that says "costum logo has been damaged"..

yay it worked thanks

 

UDPT: I can't download my logos... everytime it says something like this "The WWE2K14 is not working... try again..." but  it let me download caws and other logos :/

did you downloaded a Logo from CC? you've to do that and save it in a empty slot, then you can use your logos

Hey everyone

Bit of a weird one I've not seen covered here.

 

Followed this all and it all seemed to go off without a hitch, until I looked at the logo and saw this VV

Bit weirded out by this and these were the settings I did for the DDS file in Photoshop CS4. Hoping you guys can help me here.

If this has already been covered please feel free to direct me accordingly. I'm hoping I can get this to work so can start doing some roster updates with texture edits.

Your .dds format is wrong. It should be A8R8G8B8. You have ARGB 4 bpp.

Thanks for the response.

I've tried again with Paint.Net and Photoshop to no avail. All the same issues again.

I'd love to try with a working DDS file if someone could send me one so I can see if it is possibly my coding I'm finding issues with.

Below is a picture of the modes I have when saving in photoshop;

Is it possible I've downloaded a bad DDS plug-in? If so, does anyone have a link to the right one as the NVidia site has loads of plugins.

I really appreciate all the help given to me so far and hope I can assist others in the future.

I've tried using a blank paint tool save and different settings all to no avail. I tried editing the 4 to an 8 and that saved but didn't work again. Trying to understand why it is not working I've gone everything asked in tutorials (defracts, this one). Know it's likely something very stupid too.

Hey man, I'm able to follow the tutorials easily and I got everything done, but when I start up WWE2k14 on my ps3, after putting the save back on my ps3, my game wont load after I get to the loading screen with the blue circle spinning, it just won't progress from there, and I get stuck there, any help? P.S awesome tutorial.

Sounds like a corrupt save, redownload the save and start from scratch.

You sir are a star. I have finally managed to get this working and I love it. Now time to put the practice in on my photoshop skills. If I pick up any tips I'd love to share.

 

One thing I will say though, I don't know where this was picked up from but I had Mipmaps set to generate 4. So when exporting it I was met with a "file too large" issue on the KG Tool. Once I set the Mipmaps to none it worked fine. I saw a few people may have been met with this before but no solution so I hope that it helps others.

 

Although, crazy question, can I import the 128 x 128 files as well so I can go half and half with Face Texturing?
