Do You Believe In Ghosts?

I've been thinking about making this topic for a few days now, but I decided to make it and thought I'd promote Smacktalks' new video (Which I still haven't seen yet).

 

Ghosts, the supernatural, apparitions, poltergeist, visitors from the beyond whatever you wish to call them, do you believe in them? When I was younger I was always watching stuff that I shouldn't of at my age (Not porn ). And I couldn't go to sleep, and when I did I had nightmares (Not really I just quoted Tony Stark from Iron Man 3 ). In all seriousness though I had trouble sleeping. Nowadays I don't have fears about ghosts unless I watch a horror film about supernatural stuff, then I can't go to sleep at night for about 2-3 days in a row because I can't stop thinking about whether it's possible to happen in real life. Ghosts can be percieved as guardian angels and people that are looking over you, but they're most commonly seen as evil which is what I normally percieve them as. Do you believe in ghosts?

But in all seriousness I never really believed in ghosts. Guess I never found them interesting enough to believe in them.

Yes, I do. About two or three houses ago, I spotted a few ghosts in our spare bedroom. I'll never forget how scared I was after that happened.

My house owner's wife has passed away before 3 months i guess and I was afraid from then onwards that there's a ghost here.

I definitely believe in them, although i'm open minded as to what they could be. Ghosts, spirits, demons or even Cybermen leaking through from an alternate reality!

You all know my ghost story (and if you don't it's in Nazza's post ), but here's another story which happened to my Brother and his wife which re-enforced their belief.

My Brother's wife had a friend that died in an accident a few years ago and ever since they've had a problem with their tv turning on. The first time it happened my brother's wife asked my Niece if she had turned it on but she told them it was "the boy", although nobody else was in the house.

Earlier this year they went to see a spiritualist at a friends house and she told them it was their friend that had died in an accident who was turning the TV on.

The thing that makes them believe the most is they were coming home after finding that out they seen the tv on again through the window, so they jokingly said the name of the person and told them to stop playing jokes on them. After saying that and getting out of the car and opening the door, they went in the house the tv had turned itself off.

The other thing they've said is that the TV only ever turned itself on, never off. So the fact it turned itself off for the first time after they found out and mentioned his name was something else that really made them believe.

This also took place in two different houses with different TV's.

well in our religion (Muslims) it's written in Qur'an that ghosts are real but we don't see them.

when my uncle was a baby all the family went to sleep and when they all did after some hours they heard someone crying then they woke up and went to the living room and found my uncle under the sofa )It was impossible to get under it)

 

also in the same house they lived in the fridge door used to open when they sleep and close by itself, but they never saw a ghost.

I usually scare myself -not on purpose- when i'm in the dark and i think about scary things and then i run to switch on the light!

Same thing when i try to sleep i start to think about scary facts ive already heard of so i just play games on my phone

The facts i usually think about are:

*My sister felt an heavy presence floating above her

*A story on tv ive seen years ago in which a woman said that after her husband died she saw signs on the mirror

*The classical monster or zombie under the bed

And some other things

What are your worst nightmares youve had?

My most recent is that i was on a parking or something, i walked out of it, i followed a row of tree and then there was -a way you know when you go to the other side of a road, white stripes- and at the other side of it there was a woman and other people

then i was like possessed, i floated at about 7 fts high, i shouted like a damn fucking monster and then i went like a rocket down the other side of the way and then i woke up

As for ghosts, I'd like to believe in them since it would prove there is at least some form of life after death, but I've never seen anything that would lead me to believe they are real.

Okay do I believe in ghost, spirits, apparitions and manifestation? I do and I don't. At least I try not to. Every now and then the only I ask myself that makes me believe I am being watched or feel a subtle presence is the shadow in the corner of eye and no i'm not talking about my shadow lol. Sometimes I can be sitting down still and something occurs, that's all. Am I saying it's a ghost? No. Can it be? Don't know, maybe, maybe not. I don't know if someone can tell me what they think about this situation. Do you think it's for real or is it my mind playing tricks. Usually when your mind plays tricks you obviously have a guilty conscience. I don't feel guilty of anything that I didn't do, but what do I know.
