Basically you choose an angle / story that you feel was done poorly, give a summary of what happened - and then proceed to rewrite it as you see fit. Feel free to reuse angles.

 

The Invasion. Vince buys WCW March 2001.

 

What happened - WWE booked WCW to look weak, failed to buy in big stars and the whole thing ended up being McMahon family feud #3235 Culminating in a main event tag between mostly WWE talent.

 

What I would have done. Got a few hours? 

 

In short, I would have made use of Wrestlemania X7 to give WCW an explosive "declaration of war". I would have booked a major WCW star (Possibly even Goldberg) to interrupt Rock V Austin, and waylay them both (resulting in a schmooz) (This would also replace the God awful attempt to turn Austin heel, in his home state of all places)

 

The following night, Shane appears to tell Vince he has hired a General Manager for WCW - someone Vince knows all too well. ERIC BISCHOFF!! They're not going to attack tonight though, they're going to keep WWF guessing just when and where the next shot will be fired.

 

Then in Atlanta, that shot is fired. WCW invades and holds Smackdown hostage - replacing it with Thursday Nitro for an hour. Three WCW matches (Rey Mysterio V Chavo Guerrero, DDP V Buff Bagwell and Goldberg V Booker T) The main event is subject of a WWF attack, once again resulting in a mass brawl.

 

The sides agree to a WWF V WCW PPV - InVasion where the victorious side will win permanent control of the Smackdown show. In the run up, Eddy Guerrero and Perry Saturn defect to WCW along with Dean Malenko. Eddy hints that one of team WWF may not be entirely on the level. And so it proves when Chris Jericho costs Team WWF the decisive tag match, and announces his defection to THURSDAY NIGHT JERICHO.

 

From then on, WCW runs Smackdown, and WWF runs Raw - the various other "outstanding" contracted WCW guys are fed in, but with Nash (Diesel) and Hall (Ramon) returning to Raw. Until the wheels are set in motion by their old buddy Hogan, to revive the dreaded nWo.

Punk wants in on WM 30 Main Event and HHH says if he can beat Batista at EC he gets his shot

At EC , Punk is about to hit GTS on Batista but HHH comes in with a chair knocks Punk out and Batista Pins him 123

The Authority have a celebration the next night for Orton successful title defense but Punks music plays and he is in a truck and they see he has a hose similar to Austin but its not beer , its manure stirred water and he sprays it all over the authority and drives away

the next week he and HHH confront each other and set up a match Punk VS HHH if Punk wins he gets a title match at Extreme Rules but if he loses he is fired

Batista is put in a feud against Cena

Damien Sandow VS John Cena WHC

What Happened: Super Cena Won ruining Sandows career

Id have Sandow win , plain and simple

 

That was stupid. They should have had ADR's damage be more obvious. Sandow cashes in, and goes to work on the shoulder (think HHH at Summerslam 99 on Austin's knee) after Cena's arm is hanging out of his socket, he passes out from the pain and Sandow pins him.

 

Cena is "on the shelf" for a month or so, and makes his comeback at the next PPV, costing Damien the title. Then you have a "money" feud, and can feed Cena back into the title hunt.
