Thedeadmanrising Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 (edited) What's up everyone, today I would love to talk about maxed out 100 overall caws are they dumb and stupid or highly necessary? This topic has been debated for years; Every since SVR 2011 when we could edit the overall how we want, whenever we want. This forum topic by Gamefaqs back in 2011 basically states most people's opinion behind the debate on 100 overall caws; here is a link:http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/632403-/63398006 Believe me or not some people actually think that 100 overall caws are necessary, they believe having a maxed out overall is the only way to win! Not by skill nor strategy! They believe it's all on the overall!...And that my friend is highly noobish. Now if you were to ask me I think it's totally dumb and stupid! And I shall list the reasons 1. It can throw your game off; Some guy actually have maxed caws based on real wrestlers; now we all know that a Andre The Giant caw should not have the same statistic in agility as Rey Mysterio or Jeff Hardy, we all know that X-pac does not have the same amount of strength as Batista or Brock Lesnar. And we definitely know that Hardcore Holly does not have the same Charisma as The Rock, Stone Cold, or Hulk Hogan. Plus those same guys who use the maxed out 100 overall real caws, use those same caws for their Universes. That's another way it can throw it off 2. "It makes you look desperate to win"(gamefaqs forum member quote): and it truly does. It makes it seems like you cannot win with anything else except for that caw. And if it's true you definitely shouldn't be play in online 3. It can make you feel stupid when you lose with that caw; when your plan fails thinking you will be unstoppable with that maxed out caw, you'll feel like a total jackass. Now I want to know how the people of smacktalks feel on this topic. Is it noobish or necessary? Edited January 7, 2014 by Thedeadmanrising Quote
T Agent Crane HK Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 (edited) I don't know man, but the highest rating I ever gave a caw is a 97. I don't play online matches because last time I played online against a caw at the 100 mark, it didn't go so good. I mean people can do what they want and edit how they want with their created superstars, but it is kind of silly seeing wrestler's like Hardcore Holly, Blue Meanie, Viscera, Al Snow ect. over the 90 mark in charisma lol. Edit: Again I think maxing out every wrestler's rating to a 100 kind of unbalance's the game, but that's just me. Edited January 4, 2014 by ChildrenOfTheCorn Quote

T Agent Crane HK Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Believe it or not. I've seen someone post up a creation of a Jeff Hardy Caw of everything at 255 in every stat category. Now that's ridiculous. Don't know how they manage to max out everything over 100, but I was laughing hard when I saw that. Quote
the King Lives Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 first off most of those people are referring to online which i don't even play which was the reason why they forced us to build stats in svr09 and svr10. so with that said, i don't like being limited Quote

Miz_fit Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 It ruins the game online and offline. I once downloaded a Mason Ryan caw for my NXT universe and his overall was 100, which was ridiculous. On an online match up (wwe 13) I did beat this guy who had a caw with an 100 in game rating. I ended up beating him with SCSA. But yeah it's stupid and noobish. Quote

You have to suck if you go that damn far. Fact of the matter is I believe you because there are people that damn desperate to win. Okay they need to do something with overall thing! Some people want to convert back to the SVR 2010 style, by gaining your overall by playing and winning matches! Stuff like this makes me say we need a season mode or something so we can buy our overall attributes. Edited January 4, 2014 by Thedeadmanrising Quote

T Agent Crane HK Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 I know it's crazy and for the heck of it I downloaded that Jeff Hardy caw at 255 to see if I can decrease the stats on it and for some reason it wouldn't let me edit the stats. So then I asked a friend of mine to try and download it. He got to edit the stats, but when he logged back onto the game the stats were reset back to 255 overall. Quote

Righteous Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 It's their game, so I feel like they can make their guys whatever rating they'd like. Just like we can choose whether or not to play said person. We got maxed out guys, hacked movesets, and super spammers. Personally, I'd rather face a 100 overall guy than the hacked moveset or super spammer. I look at it like this-- If I am going 2 war, ofcourse I want the best gun, with the most ammo. Same with a caw, if I am gonna go online and play, you better believe I would have my dude at the highest possible rating. You gotta fight fire with fire. When your characters are evenly matched, the it comes down to player strategy/skill. Quote
iamthedoctor Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Well for years going back as far as 2003 I think I always had Hogan & Warrior maxed out at 100 overall as to why well when they wrestled in the ring they were virtually unbeatable. Quote

Exactly.. funny thing is i don't know what the stats were with Wolfgang's Sting, but I loved them when i faced taker in defeat the streak, and i really don't think they were over the top as the match definitely was back and forth Quote
EndoeNova Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I would hate to go back to earning your rating. People can do whatever they want with their CAW's. However, I edit mine to be as accurate as possible. I don't think I will ever use all 100 slots either Quote
BakaOtaku Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I find maxed overalls pretty irritating. Especially when mixed with people who set a finisher as their regular moves so every move they do is OP like RKO's, Spears & Tombstones as regular groggy grapples, etc. Whether online or offline I find maxed out overalls one of the most annoying things you can do to a caw, imo it throws everyone else's overalls off balance in comparison and no matter who the wrestler I personally think no one should have a speed overall of 100 as reversing a standing grapple is near impossible in that situation. Miz_fit Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 ^Ignore my first post it won't let me edit^ What I was going to say was that 100 overall ranking aren't worse then spammers and hackers but they're much more common. I haven't face a spammer on wwe 2k14 but I've lost count off caws I've downloaded that have an 100 overall ranking. I mean seriously? Robbie E 100 overall ranking? Big E Langston 100 overall ranking? Even WCW sting an 100 overall ranking? Is this BS or what. Another thing I wanted to address are those who are on the verge of losing, quit matches. Yes it means your undefeated but it doesn't give you experience. Winning and even losing (based on what you did) gives you points and experience but quiting doesn't give you anything. Whats the point in that. (Yeah and it mostly happens when I an facing a guy with a 100 overall caw). Quote

Sir Pyres Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I don't bother playing online unless it's with friends due to the whole 100 overalls. Quote

Just like with caws most of them feel that you can only win by having the highest overall! They say to hell with skills and playing fair, I'm just get a 100 overall caw and spam moves in all my matches! One guy got mad at me because I didn't have created content on in my session! Well excuse me for being tired of being cheated out of my matches right and left for the 100th time! Like I said half of them have that mentality of forget playing fair, I'll just use a 100 overall caw and spam moves like a noob! Edited January 5, 2014 by Thedeadmanrising Quote
thefranchise03 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 And that's why I don't play online. All there is is 100 rated caws with stupid CAFs, looking like fake gansters or rock stars. All they can do is running grapples, as if there isn't any other moves to do. I can have a better match with the CPU than some 100 rated idiot online. I understand they want to win, hell I want to win too, but I don't go online pressing the run button and do running moves 99.9% of the time. Everytime I go in a room and see one, I leave a message saying, "100 rated caws are for losers who can't play the game and are desperate to win." And they get maaaad, sending me threats in messages. Hilarious. Quote
