best in the world Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 I don't understand why so many of you all have freezes in game. I have only had 1 in universe Consider yourself lucky then! I have had too many freezes to even count. You on Xbox or PS3? I am on 360. 360 also. I don't make custom stories so that might be why... Neither do I. I have gotten all my content from CC and I don't mess with custom stories or anything of that nature. I pretty much just tweak my creations, arenas, and universe mode. But, it may have something to do with my Xbox itself since it is the 4 gig slim and barely has any memory on it. Which is another weird thing, it doesn't freeze on other games. Just on WWE2k14. That leads me to believe it is a problem with 2K and WWE2k14 because I had the same freezing problems last year with WWE '13 and before that with WWE '12. Both of those games I had on PS3. Maybe it is just a glitch problem that these gaming companies are too lazy to go into and fix, who knows? Quote

Petos Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 I got bored about three weeks in. Playing it just became a chore. Maybe I'll get back into it at some point. Quote
the King Lives Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 I Like How this Started Of Being Bored Of WWE 2k14 Than Turned Into A RE Conversation not all that bad though lol Very true! At least Resident Evil doesn't freeze up and hasn't been the same core game for 10 years or better, so there's that..... LOL true.. i still play wwe but i've lost tremendous amount of interest Quote
Custom-R Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Well for some reason, when I'm playing a match in exhibition, I get sleepier. I suppose it is helpful for actually making me WANT to sleep, in that regard, but the other modes are not as boring. Quote

LOL true.. i still play wwe but i've lost tremendous amount of interest The problem is that WWE games have been relatively the same and each experience is virtually the same each time you play it. 2K needs to create innovative ways to change each match and each experience to be different. In do it in such a way that people want to continue playing it. I still play 2k14 almost every day because I get bored easily, but still RE is better with puzzles and such to occupy the time..... I have the most amount of fun when I am improvising paint tools for my retro ECW/WCW creations or creating an arena from scratch. It'd be awesome if 2K started giving us more retro WCW/ECW ppv arenas to make better settings for our retro brands. As for the cutscenes, I'd like to see different and unique ones for each WWE superstar. It'd also be cool if you could use specific random cutscenes for each individual created star in universe too. Also, it'd be great if they could greatly reduce the possibility of freezing during editing or even playing in Universe..... Quote

Resident Evils 1-4 really do a great job of setting up the franchise. The first time you play the original Resident Evil is awesome. Especially when you see that first cutscene where the zombie is eating the S.T.A.R.S. team member and then he turns around and comes after you! Those were the great moments that put the 'horror' in survival horror games..... Quote

Example: I love the RE series because of every iterations ability to tell the story continuing from the first one, but i hated halo in that it seemed more of just a first person shooter and that was about it lol Quote
the King Lives Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 don't forget Code Veronica X! and the HUNTERS IN RE1! i remember my best friend and i after we got the game, we started playing it at night with the lights off and had to turn them back on when those hunters showed up lol Quote
best in the world Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 yeah i guess also cause i'm real big on story that is the main thing that makes or breaks games for me.. Example: I love the RE series because of every iterations ability to tell the story continuing from the first one, but i hated halo in that it seemed more of just a first person shooter and that was about it lol I also love games that have story and continuing stories that sometimes go back and show you prequel type of backstory. That's why I loved Resident Evil Zero because it did a great job of setting up the story for what happened in the original Resident Evil. I never cared for Halo despite all the hype that surrounded it. I had the original Xbox and Halo had a lot of hype with people saying it was amazing but I tried it back when renting games were still in[seems like so long ago that we did that, right?]. I played Halo for about an hour and didn't care for it, turned it off and started playing RAW 2. I wish that WWE games were more story driven in Universe mode kinda like the Resident Evil games are except they could have every storyline in WWE history from the original WrestleMania on up to current events that can be relived or rewritten[sort of like Legends of WM was]. Also, if they did something like that I would hope they make the story designer easier to piece together because I can't understand the setup of the current games which is why I never play around with it..... Those moments in the earlier Resident Evil games were awesome and I miss that. With the Umbrella story being non-existant and the removal of pure zombies, there hasn't been any real horror moments. I hope when Capcom decides to do a Resident Evil 7 game, they will try to bring back some of that old school scare because those games are what made me a fan of the series to begin with. BTW, RE: Code Veronica X doesn't get enough credit because that game was and still is badass! The first time you encounter that big Hunter/Nemesis looking creature with the long arms outside the mansion and in the gateways is scary as hell, especially if you are low on health[somehow I managed to be low each time I encountered him/it]. One of the few great things that Capcom did with Resident Evil 6 was to bring back a combo of the old zombies mixed with the infected from RE 4 & 5 and that could make for some new scares that were missing from the newer games....... Wow, I didn't even realize that monster had a technical actual name! And yeah, zombies walking up stairs in a game was a Resident Evil first in Code Veronica X. Which is why I love the concept that Capcom did with Resident Evil 6 with smart zombies, they can evolve and do complex and innovative things. Imagine if a zombie could be potentially smart enough to take strongly evasive and even defensive actions to make it more difficult to kill them or even catch them to kill them. The chainsaw guy in 5 was scary the first time I saw him jump out of nowhere but other than that, Resident Evil 3 was the last good scary survival horror game in the series. RE 6 had elements of being scary with the camera shots moving but the environments were too dark and narrow to see what was supposed to be so scary. If Capcom does RE 7 they should stick with a good vantage point for the camera in which the environments can be dark & scary but also crystal clear enough to make out what/who is supposed to be scaring us.....
