Creation Suite Apron Glitch - UPDATE 2k REPLIES!!

Hey guys, dint know whether I was posting this in the right section? Please correct me if I have.

Anyway I am in the process of contacting a member of staff at 2k sports, about the issue we all have with resizing logos in create an arena. I thought I should share this with you all, if you want to read any emails that have been sent between us two, please ask.

I know this problem doesn't involve a lot of you who don't create, but for us who do it's been a nightmare sinze release!

Wassup guys. 2k out of knowhere finally replied, here's a screenshot of their (not so in-depth) response!

What do you think? Are they just being knob ends or what?

I don't remember exactly where, it was here in some 2pic, they said that they asked the designer/developer of the game about this and they said that they intended to make it like that, it was 2K support or some thing

Yeah, I too recall the "it was designed that way" response from a staffer. I'm done making arenas once I get through misc WCW '97-'98 ones unless it's fixed, which I doubt it will be. Damn shame I won't have any Judders arenas this time around.

Most of the various creation suite related sections in 2k14 are much more freeze prone this year.  Anything from editing creations of superstars to managing allies/enemies in Universe, or simply setting rivalries for Universe makes the game completely freeze up.  Haven't checked the apron glitch, but I'm sure that is a glitch too.  I really hope a patch is made because if not, we have to wait for 2k15 to see if 2K fixed these things.  Which is just insane!

Ah ok, even if it was designed this way. I may have used "glitch" in the wrong context, maybe problem, would have suited this topic more tho.

I am trying my hardest to have this patched tho, I just don't understand why they would do this? And in my honest opinion the creation suite this year hasnt done a lot for me! I either expected much more or 2k just didn't try hard enough to give us what we want / are used to !

Ok, maybe I'm making judgments too early on 2k, but seeing as they have control over the game then maybe it's not too late for them to please their customers and patch this for us, make a good impression and all that?

I've just received another email back, this time telling me that the case has been passed onto "tier 2 complaints" whatever that means. Anyway I'll keep you posted.

Ps I really wanna see some arenas by Judders this year, as last year's were awesome !

In CAA we get a lot of stages to create easy arenas for other WWE times. But with the stupid apron logos resizing the whole mode is useless.

I´ll be following this post to see what they have to say about this.

Massive letdown though that has stopped me buying the game up to now.

I'm kinda regretting contacting 2K as since 3 weeks ago I've not heard shit. I honestly can't believe this company, you would think, now that they have this contract with wwe that they would try their hardest to reach out to fans of the sport / game and listen and help. Seems to me like they don't give a shit. I may even put a complaint in to the company, if I don't hear anything soon that is!

Patch hasn't fixed it, apparently.

 

So yeh, it was done 'by design'. 

 

I'd suggest probably blaming WWE. I'd hazard a guess they asked Yukes to knock some of the freedom in CAA on the head, as we're essentially just using the logos to make other promotions.

 

This would also explain why we NEVER get a straight answer out of 2K/THQ in regards to this - they don't want to throw WWE under the bus, so to speak.

Yep probably it was WWE's decision like the crotch blur! They don't want us to make another promotion in their game! It's ok for me tbh, cuz (not trying to be a smart ass) i always find a workaround with these limitations

The problem is that for WWE fault i cannot recreate THEIRR summerslam 2008 arena or extreme rules 2012 because my textures cant cover the full trons

And isn't it funny how a lot of the in-game logos (ie. arena logos) can be made to be big...?

Did you try if 8 small textures can cover all the ring apron?

That would be a way to make the preset CAA in-game like Raw is War, Smackdown fist arena...

Just tried to replicate summerslam 2008 and extreme rules 2012 with the exact textures I got and then I crash with the fucking layer limitation. To make modern age HD arenas we're all screwed: In extreme rules although I can do the texture with in game logos the layers would end quickly.

Yeh, it sucks, mate. And i'm trying to pester (I say 'pester', but I just mean they refuse to answer my question, which is appalling customer service considering I have a genuine question about my purchased product) @2kSupport on Twitter to let us know whether they have any plans to patch it, and if it was 'by design' or not. A question which I think is PERFECTLY valid.

 

If it's a WWE thing, tell us. 

 

Their sheer ignorance is leading me to believe it is infact a WWE issue, and they refuse to confess publicly.

I agree ECWDanSelby ! I just dint understand why we can't have an answer to a question about a problem to do with a product we have purchased from THEM ! Makes me angry, either if its WWE to blame or 2k. It's impossible to recreate any of the pre-set arenas on the CAA , so therefore this create mode shouldn't be included if this is what we get !
