I don't really watch a lot of horror movies...but just to suggest something serious...The Conjuring. I've never seen it, but...

Insidious 2

World War Z (Not really Scary but Zombies included)

I def agree with the insidious films. Best to watch in the dark at high volume.

American Mary. Although not too much of a horror film.

VHS 1 and 2.

I watched The Conjuring on Halloween... Definitely one of the scariest and best horror films I've ever seen.

Final Destination are by far my favourite Horror movies :D

The Shining. REAL horror, not just some tacky, gimmicked-up slasher flick.

Halloween is what I'd go with. The one that was made in 1978. Not that Rob Zombie crap.

The Shining,Grave Encounters and Sinister.

I looked these up and they have good reviews, I'm gonna get these. Thanks :)

Saw. After 3 the quality drops off (there is a definite switch to "how gory can we make it") but the story arc between all seven makes them worth watching. And I don't generally enjoy horror movies.

Jigsaw is genuinely awesome to watch however, he's up there with Hannibal Lecter for me.
