Moving Back To WWE 13 - Sad Day

I thought people were happy this game was under new managewment. It seems to be more of the same complaints now that 2k has there hands on this franchise.

You shouldve backed up your data. I backup any changes Ive made to my game daily and do a full backup once a week. If my data ever gets corrupted at worst I lose 6 days worth of stuff.

I've found a way, (my brother found a way) around many of story designer's glitches. Now I've made a story last night, it froze once during 6 hours me making it so least that's tolerable. 

 

What you have do is this, put your CAWs into a match on your story designer show first, so they appear as already used in story or in yellow font. Then add them to scenes. Then repeat process. Using this method the dumb story designer finds it easier and freezes and glitches less.

 

I don't know if the mode is usable long term tho but I am willing to give it a shot now and WWE 13 is a backup. 

 

I don;t think I'll buy WWE 15 next year, even tho I will be getting xboxone, I've kinda done with buying new WWE games, they keep letting me down.

 

I will be buying a modded console early 2014, RGH xbox360, I am about £50 away from purchasing of a guy I've found who sells them so I'll join the modding community and improve my game myself and using other's mods too.

 

DIY is often the best way I've found. If they do make a wrestling game worthy of a chance I'll consider it but this standard (WWE 13, WWE 2K14) is not good enough for me.

 

Paulie Walnuts - - And to other guy Paulie Walnuts, yes I think Cristo who helped make Universe mode should be fired, why? Because the mode hasn't improved enough to make it playable long term. It's still too match driven, I shouldnt have to use my imagination in 2013, maybe in day of wreckoning in 2004 it was different on Gamecube, this is 2013, when are people gonna remember this? It's not 2004 anymore. It's 2013. I expect a fantastic multi layered wrestling game. Look at other franchises, like Pro Evo Soccer, like Assassins Creed, all keep evolving, even other sports titles, and this game stays same.

 

Only major difference for me is, 100 CAW slots, that's it, gameplay changes don't interest me cos the gameplay was never the major issue aside from bugs wise.

He's on the team isn't he, I remember him saying he had heavy involvement in this year's Universe. If he's on the team he's in the firing line. He didn't look very competent either if you ask me personally.

maybe he had involvement but he was not any of the guys with thq.. he was with 2k... and really the only thing he was involved with was that rivalry manager...

Never understood what is great about Universe I mean what's great about this feature? GM mode was cool why they took it away?!?

They Took GM Mode away because it was a boring boring feature that brought nothing to the game.

for me, you either have to have a hell of a lot of free time or a ton of patience to even consider using story designer. for me, Universe does it all for you, and now this year there are more customisation options. Universe this year rendered my Story Designer useless.

 

Universe? What the same cutscenes replaying as last year? Rivalry manager is ok but Universe is still boring for me, I watch wrestling for storytelling, the matches are a bonus for me, I realise lot people it will be the reverse, they watch for highspots and flips and kicks. To me , that's not my type wrestling, if their's no story behind a match , then to me the match is pointless and whilst rivalry manager puts characters together it doesnt generate a reason for wrestlers to feud, except if you know a belt is on the line. It's ok but Universe is too basic still for me and without proper promos I cant see it getting to point I'd want it too be.

 

What? The purpose of rivalry mode is to begin a rivalry to start the story in the first place. For example, the two said competitors have a match. In the first or 2nd week is when the rivalry will initially start. So it does generate a reason down the line, more so if you play it out instead of simulating it. There are numerous cut scenes and the moves are what you make of them.

How was GM Mode boring? I've never owned a WWE game with GM Mode, so I'd like to know.

 

gm mode didn't have cutscenes.. doing promos and such didn't even make since seeing as how there was nothing story developing about it.. and yeah it really was removed because it was boring and lackluster for better term

That's irrelevant, why would you have to use your imagination with Assassin's Creed when it's a story-driven game? Lol...Pro Evo has no story mode the last I remember, so if you're playing Franchise mode out of that and getting storylines, you're using your imagination. In fact, in most sports games, people are using they're imagination, hence all the Dynasty stories that people make with them. The actual game doesn't do any of that shit. Fact is, Universe offers what it does to a lot of people, and they find a way to have fun with it, hence why they don't use story designer.

exactly bro LOL i started my wcw universe based in sept 95 and i'm already at souled out 97 and have been doing just about everything true to how it happened IRL.  I haven't been this into universe since probably WWE 12 LOL

Universe mode is boring, look at GTA V and all stuff you can do in it, can do everything in it, even play tennis for goddess sakes. Universe mode needed more too it. Cristo and his "boys" let me down.

yeah but then again 75% of some things that end up in a wwegame end up being dumb.. like the ai automatically reversing you after hitting 3 running strikes in succession.  Alot of people may not understand this, but Luger used to do that alot in wcw, 2 Running forearm smashes, reverse atomic drop, powerslam, diving clothesline and then the rack, that pretty much was his comeback in wcw before comebacks were even thought of. And sadly i can't really do that because after the 2nd clothesline the ai usually reverses my irish whip lol

I think I tried Story Designer after the 2nd DLC was downloaded (and by 2nd DLC, I mean, I only got Summer Rae), nothing's changed. Story Designer still freezes, or basically is still not friendly to CAWs, in cutscenes. As for matches, they are fine.

That reminds me of the game's attempt to neutralize spammed running grapples. So far, it hasn't worked. Well, at least for me, but that's another topic.
