coroner Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Finally got around to try modding 14, i'd like to eventually retexture a majority of the default faces in the game if I can find the time. Normally i'd use an ingame snapshot but my Xbox wasn't hooked up to a connection at the time, my first try is just a simple face retexure on Mr. Perfect. Quote
kidsampson Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I really like these face retextures as they noticeably improve the game. Good job on this one, and I hope you do find the time to do more as planned. Quote
coroner Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 Right now I'm limited to just testing on xbox, I can't get autodesk to let me download Max for a quick test, it only let's me download 1 of 2 files for the program. Quote
nikethebike Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Awesome! You know I love your work coroner! Quote
coroner Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 (edited) Thanks nike, I'm tying to find info on importing or removing parts like hair or clothing and can't seem to find anything, anyone know where to look? I'd like to try to make a version of Perfect with long hair no ponytail on the Hennig nWo model. Edited December 3, 2013 by coroner Quote
tekken57 Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 (edited) You need to replace the yobj file with the yobj file from another model. The tricky thing is that the texture placement of both yobj files must be the same. Miztah wrote a tut for wwe which still works this year? Edited December 3, 2013 by tekken57 Quote
coroner Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 I'm assuming 3DS Max is a must for this type of mod then. Quote
tekken57 Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 It's not essential but it really saves a lot of time Quote
Sells Like Ziggler Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Question. If you retexture or edit. Can you do all of this and still be online? Btw for Xbox I mean and not to upload but just to be in a party and tell your friends about it. Quote
Mathayus Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I'm assuming 3DS Max is a must for this type of mod then. You don´t need it. I made some hair changes and never used 3DS Max. What you need to see if in the texture if the hair match over the same part of the texture, the mostly of times I looked at it don´t match. Or a little part goes over the leg or something and you can erase that part of hair. Yeah, with 3DS Max is faster cause you haven´t to save all the textures and try it in the Xbox. Quote
coroner Posted December 15, 2013 Author Posted December 15, 2013 Here's a couple more retextures: Test on Billy, still needs some work. Eyebrows need to be a little smaller. A long haired, no nose strip variation on NSIENSKI's great Booker T mod. Quote
tekken57 Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Those retextures are looking good. Was going to attempt Gunn myself but yours looks awesome so far. Quote
coroner Posted December 16, 2013 Author Posted December 16, 2013 Go for it, I'd like to see different versions of Gunn, there's room for improvement in this one. I'm used to doing PS2 mods, and it was definitely easier to get away with more on those, the details in the 360 textures and model shape effects the look much more on the 360. I wish Señor Casaroja would make a plug-in for these models, It was much easier to fine adjust mods with Noesis than 3dsMax..theres too many settings to try to figure out and tinker with when you only have so much time in a day to spend modding.
