Also...You can not load a PT file that you have already imported your own images to.

 

For example:

On your 360, you make 20 blank slots and save

Put your USB into your CPU and extract the PT file using Horizon, Modio, etc.

Open up the save editor and replace your 20 PT files (Also, during each replacement of a PT file, you have to hit save each time)

Fix your PT file

Inject back to the USB

Load PTs on 360

 

Now, after you have done that, you cannot go back to the PT file you already have on your CPU and replace more files and inject that PT back into the USB stick. You have to do the whole process over again or else you will end up with a corrupted PT file.

 

But you can have a fresh backup to do it also

Excellent news, Im glad good caw makers who didnt have access to the tool are now able to use it. And without all the bullshit sharing restrictions.

Does this mean more of you guys plan on uploading pt to cc now that the tos is no longer an issue? Not only as a service to the community but as a small FU to kg.

i get my pt file corrupted does anyone nows how to inject them well?

 

Delete all PT's from your Xbox...start a new one in the game, making each slot completely blank PT's (blank not meaning not there, a blank one that is there, just nothing in it).  When done save it.

 

Put that on your PC...

 

copy and use that one each time you want to do a new one.  simple as that.

no, they don't delete....unless you are doing it on a downloaded CAW.  And it never affects other CAWs...once PTs are on a CAW they are on it (they don't have to stay in the logo area to stay on a CAW)

2 - move pt from xbox storage device to pc using horizon
3 - open pt file in painttool mode
4 - click on drop down box and select slot you wan to import logo into
5 - screen will turn black if empty (appropiate image size will be highlighted underneath)
6 - right click and click replace/ choose .dds file/photo
7 - save photo and wait for fix painttool button text to turn red
8 -  repeat steps 4 - 7 to add more pts. (fix PT button will be bordered blue when done saving eavh photo after)
9 - click on fix painttool button
10 - exit
11 - Inject back onto device using horizon
12 - move back to xbox
13 - load up game
14 - go to create a logo
15 - save custom logo then use as you please.

DDS file
128x128 or 256x256
8.8.8.8 ARGB 32 bit
no mip maps

 

My only question is do I credit both KG & EEA for work done using the tool?

I decided to give it a try. Works perfectly. When you have a shit load planned and only have two hands, injecting Custom PTs start looking ike a good idea. I myself

After giving this a try and editing off the KG watermark on the PTs I seem to have an issue ingame when trying to play online. After I select my CAW, it would just hang at the matchup screen and not seem to load up the match.  I tried a few different online matches but could not get any of them to start.  I am just wondering has anyone else had this issue?

I think hes talking about the small pixels on the lower right of the PT File. I had that, and KG said it was fixed in a last update to which it was not.

 

Easiest thing is do your 128 texture in 256 then in-game put it in a 128.

No it's not random...it's how KG was making it so he could tell who was posting stuff online...it was found out about a month ago (not like he realized we knew).  jcsix even posted a shot of it.  He "fixed" it to look less obvious than the first one, but it's still about 5 or 6 pixels in the lower right of the PT...easy fix, if you are doing a 256 PT, just make it where it doesn't go into that area (make it a pixel or 2 shorter)...then you can use the game's eraser to get rid of it. 

 

@Auday....used to look like this.  If your texture never hit the spot, you'd probably hardly notice it as it's mostly transparent pixels..

Does the injector hang for anyone if you try to inject over an already occupied caw slot? I'm having that issue. Can I only inject on empty slots?

There's been some online glitch with some creations that have imported PT's online....was that way last year too.  It's not the tool, it's the fact of the imported textures it seems.

 

@Titan...would have to test it in the new to know for a fact...as you can tell, I always rigged mine when I made them to where it never mattered, so quit paying attention to it since then.

So, did he have a way of tracking these PTs? Seems rather pointless if it's a watermark as it can easily be erased and the chances of him actually finding anyone uploading logos are slim unless someone is uploading a bunch that get into the "What's Hot" section or find people taking requests.

 

Just curious: Was anyone ever actually banned because of uploading logos? I've never heard of anyone despite the ToS and I would think that if anyone was looked at, BigChrisSpirito or whatever his name is would have to be at the top of the list.
