dinothesaur Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Tried following kidsampsons guide, couldn't get any of the ch.pac's to display the additional attires. I wonder if it has to do with the PS3's method of replacing the ch.pac's?. (i.e 205 = ch205) If someone can shed light on this, please do. Quote
Gameinator Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I had no issues with the attires on my PS3 following the guide. Do you have any DLC installed? if so you need to update the misc.pac from the DLC as it checks the most recent DLC's misc.pac. Quote
dinothesaur Posted November 28, 2013 Author Posted November 28, 2013 Did you still have to use the "ch" when you injected the new .pac's? Quote
Gameinator Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I have been leaving in the ch, had no issues with them so far, replaced a jobber, the ref and using tekken/red's hogan attires all with the chxxx. I almost forgot but when you are putting your mods to the console are you putting the mods in the GAMES (ps3 or GAMEZ) folder or the game/bles01937 or whatever the blus version is as these are what is read by the game. dinothesaur Posted November 28, 2013 Author Posted November 28, 2013 (edited) Thanks for mentioning the dlc, that was the issue. I successfully managed to get multiple attires (slots) for the superstars. However, when I went to test this with a mod I failed. I couldn't get tekken/red's hollywood hogan to work, all the attires came up the same. :\ I have been leaving in the ch, had no issues with them so far, replaced a jobber, the ref and using tekken/red's hogan attires all with the chxxx. Should I be putting them in the game folder instead? Edited November 28, 2013 by dinothesaur Quote
Gameinator Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 That's where I have been putting them, though I have a habit of replacing in both folders just in case Quote
dinothesaur Posted November 28, 2013 Author Posted November 28, 2013 (edited) Tried replacing them in the "game" folder. It started hanging right before the match up screen, then game data went corrupt. I think you're on to something, though. I've never been able to make chpac's work in the GAMES folder. I've always had to remove the "ch". It'd make sense for it to work normally without the "ch" removal under game. I'll try it again later today. Oh and Happy Thanksgiving. Gameinator Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Considering the game data claims it is corrupt either you have forgotten to delete the f.dat or update arc, or one of the files have deleted themselves (happened to me a few times and is usually what I just copied on). But considering it hung at the match up screen it sounds like it was unable to load the attire, so you likely have missed the add attires to arc step as the game isnt sure of what to load. 1 Quote
dinothesaur Posted November 28, 2013 Author Posted November 28, 2013 (edited) EDIT: Resolved. I got it to work by removing the "ch". Thanks for the help! Edited November 28, 2013 by dinothesaur Quote
cparker33 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Okay, so I too have replaced files in the games folder and it loaded fine but no attires were shown. I then replaced files in the game folder and it is the same result. When I edited the def files by deleting ch and the PAC file, it says data corruption. Do I need to edit the miscellaneous dlc 5 file? Or just the misc1.start that is in the usdir? Not sure where I'm going wrong. Thanks. I also notice that my PAC file I add seems to be getting erased when I go back. Any reason for this? Quote

Copy the original .pac files back into the game folder, the game checks on start if they are there. If they are not there the game gives you the error msg. Edit the .def files (remove the ch) and place the modded .pac files (with removed ch) into the "GAMEZ" (disc) folder. But place the edited .def files in the game folder and NOT in the "GAMEZ" (disc) folder. Then everything should work. Edited February 13, 2014 by kim666 Quote

cparker33 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) Thanks Kim! It's working perfectly now. Maybe you can answer this as well. How do I get them to show up in superstar threads? I added Ultimate Warrior attires from Red Rooster, Matheyus, and Bugsy Boy and want to have threads without that stupid chest paint he wore once or twice in his career. Lol Right now it's showing only his original gear from the game in threads. I would guess that updating the misc1start file in games would work? Any info is much appreciated! kim666 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Superstar threads works only on Warriors 1st attire. Nobody figured out why. But Red Rooster has modded his original attire and removed the chest paint. Simply inject this over the original attire (it is already in Red Rooster's Warrior .pac) Quote
