motishow
hi , i am having problems trying to decompress my misc01_start.pac, all times getting a failed error message. I don,t have any problems decomprresing chxxx.pac files. I don't understand why i can't decompress my misc file. I did it before when i added the warriors alt attire from red rooster . Can i PM somebody with my misc01_start file to test if he can decompress it? thanks
Red Rooster
If you already decompressed it why do you need to decompress it again? Did you recompress it? Just leave it decompressed

dinothesaur
I'm having this same issue. I just tried following kidsamspon's tutorial on adding alternative attires with Xpacker 9 and I'm stuck on part two. For some reason I keep getting an error message when I try to decompress misc01_start.pac. Edited November 27, 2013 by dinothesaur
Red Rooster
Start a fresh misc01_start.pac and decompress it. Make the changes you need to and save it. DONT RECOMPRESS the file you dont need to
dinothesaur
Thanks, Red. I did what you recommended but now I received an error stating I was missing "mvscp71.dll". I found it online, installed it and tried to uncompress it again. Still the same error as previously. xbdecompress: error: file was not compressed in a native format. =[ Edited November 27, 2013 by dinothesaur
Red Rooster
Are you sure its not uncompressed already? When I try to xbdecompress and already uncompressed copy of misc01_start.pac it says the same error
dinothesaur
Pretty sure it's not. I went ahead and applied the changes anyway, just to be sure and still not luck. Tried adding another attire for Mark Henry. Nothing.

dinothesaur
No luck. Well, at least now I know it isn't the file. I must be doing something wrong.
scottydub
I'm having problems with this step too. I can't get the xbdecompress tool to work. When I open cmd the computer isn't allowing me to drag it into the black box. Any thoughts? Tekken tried to help me out by getting me to copy xbdecompress and it's required dll's to an easy location e.g c:\xbde . and then opening command prompt and typing in c:\xbde\xbdecompress, but still not luck...can't drag the misc01_start.pac in. Red Rooster
I put mine in c: and copy the file im trying to decompress into the same folder. Then go start menu and type cmd. In the command prompt window make sure you are in the root directory c:, if you arent then type cd.. then hit Enter, do it again and again until it says C:\> Now type xbdecompress misc01_start.pac and press enter Then press Y Done
