Game froze when mod DLC

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I wanted to mod Scott Steiner, updating the textures files as usual.

I used Le fluffie to extract the pac file, did my tweaks, used Xpacker to recompress/inject the pach file in the pac file.

Then injected back with Le fluffie. Clicked the Security Tab and selected “Sign for Dev Live”.

Then the “Fix” Button

When I selected Scott in game, I had a fatal crash...

The size of the original must to be the same. If you get the fatal crash, try to update the arcs, but if the files have the same size than the originals don´t matter.

The size is the same, I injected/compress it with xpacker. No difference.

I shouldn't have to update the arc file

I think the problem is at the end with  Le fluffie when I inject the pac file. I must be doing something wrong.

The pac itself is correct,  correct size....

Anyone?

Try with a new DLC. Not one edited yet.

If freeze, try to update the catalog files to see if it still freezes.

I always start with a fresh DLC, a copy of the original.

I will try to update the catalog files to see if it changes anything.

The pac has the same size as the original but when I inject it in Lefluffie the DLC file is 160 mg instead of 156......?

Could you give me a clear step by step so I'm sure I do nothing wrong bro?

Many of you have done it, so please, tell me how.

Hmm thats your problem right there, if the file size is not exactly the same or smaller it wont work

I know this, I would just appreciate that someone give me the exact step by step since it seems I'm doing something wrong.

I tried evey possible combinations and even when my DLC file has the correct size, it crashes....

Do I have to Click the Security Tab and select “Sign for Dev Live” and the “Fix” Button or not?

Do I have to rebuild?

Or just do  nothing?

Or a mix......?

My pac file is correct (ch pac and texture pacs are compressed with Xpacker and the fnal size of the PAC is the same as the original)

Again, it seems that it's in Lefluffie that I need the correct manip to inject the pac back in the DLC and be good to go.

Really frustrating.

Yeah I had a lot of trouble with Le Fluffie last year trying to edit DLC 3.

Sign for Dev Live then Fix should be all you have to do.

I know that it is advisable not to Rebuild the DLC because even though it may load it will cause problems with other DLC wrestlers.

Have you tried using Datkidos Steiner mod, see if that works for you? If it does then the problem is with your pac file.

Datkifod pac worked...

So I decided to re-do everything from scratch and got another fatal error....!!

So here what I do :

- I extract the PAC file from the DLC file with Lefluffie

- I open the PAC file in Xpacker

- I extract the PACH file

- I open the PACH file

- I uncompress the 000A and the 000C file

- I open the textures archives (000A and 000C) and inject the color and normal DDS

- I open the PACH file and Compress and Inject the textures files (000A and 000C)

- I open the PAC file and Compress and Inject the PACH file.

- I open Lefluffie and right click on the PAc file and inject the new PAC

- I click the Security Tab and select “Sign for Dev Live”

- I click the “Fix” Button

Done....

What am I doing wrong...?

You musn't compress and inject the pach file. You only need to compress and inject the 000A and 000C files.
