COZZA SAID SO Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Oh how i cannot wait for this episode. Gonna stay up all night and dream about it all in my sleep after it. Billie Piper and Jenna Louise-Coleman in the same show once, oh, how much better can it get. Quote
TheBirdSolution Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I can barely stop shaking with excitement. Even wearing my 10th Doctor Pinstripe Brown jacket to celebrate Quote
Smacktalks Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I can't believe it's on in around 3 hours! What / Who are you hoping to see? Quote
Aero Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 did any of you watch "night of the doctor"? the 7 min short episode? for all its length, it was fucking immense, much better than anything they've done in a while (i honestly believe the storylines of late havn't been great even though the main actors have all been fine) Quote
Smacktalks Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Yeah, I really liked that, but then it ended just as I was getting into it I've liked the story's under Matt Smith, but I still think the ones that Russell T Davies wrote for Eccleston and Tennant were miles better. The current ones under Steven Moffat just seem to be a lot more complicated and have a lot of plot holes. Quote
Samy Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Wtf with this doctor who anyway happy virthday you tv program Quote
Smacktalks Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 The 50th was fantastic! I can't wait for the Christmas Special!Allons-y! Quote

Paul McGann's acting was phenomenal! Yeah, I really liked that, but then it ended just as I was getting into it I've liked the story's under Matt Smith, but I still think the ones that Russell T Davies wrote for Eccleston and Tennant were miles better. The current ones under Steven Moffat just seem to be a lot more complicated and have a lot of plot holes. Yeah I just think that Moffat's a bit too childish. I thought the episode was amazing! One of the best I've ever seen, wasn't expecting that out of Moffat. Quote
HarlotEffect Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 (edited) Wtf with this doctor who anyway happy birthday you tv program Just leave. Go home. Kids these days. But yeah the 50th Anniversary show was amazing, loved the Tom Baker cameo at the end. I thought he would have been apart of it. Since he was the longest reining doctor (In the way of appearing in eps and the Doctor.) McGann sucks balls Edited November 23, 2013 by HarlotEffect93 Quote

McGann sucked so much ass, but the music from his '96 film was great. Quote

delete Posted November 24, 2013 Author Posted November 24, 2013 I've never seen the show, but I'm happy for it's 50 years of success. You should watch it man! Start with the Christopher Eccleston series, you'll love it Worst. Show. Ever. (at least in the last 4 or so years). Utter trash. Polystyrene boulder or we riot. That's because Moffat made it too childish, and Matt Smith wasn't a great doctor. It's still a great show. Quote
Zark Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Worst. Show. Ever. (at least in the last 4 or so years). Utter trash. Polystyrene boulder or we riot. Clearly you don't watch many shows Quote

Aero Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 also, McGann was great, the movie was very americanised and also it was just that, a MOVIE, movies always have to properly end and as such ruins these things. If McGann was given a tv version, he'd have been great as a doctor. Quote

I'm highly critical of most shows, so very little gets away unscathed, but for it's budget and social position, Doctor Who is definitely among the worst in it's bracket. Quote
TargaSnoW Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I watched the 50th Anniversary special in France and my first sentiment in the end was Fantastic ! UK had the best show in the World. Quote
