anyone else think the crowd in WWE 2K14 suck?

Been listening to the crowd chants whilst playing 2k14, and my god some of it is shockingly bad, what's everyone else's thoughts

I sound like such a fangirl lol. But in complete honesty, I don't. I've been playing a match BoD vs The Shield and while Kane was in the Ring the crowd actually started chanting "We want Taker". Same happend with Stone Cold once. Also I realized that tgey added some random chants, like "You still got it!" And sometimes a man with scratchy voice starts chanting "This is Awesome!" Which quite hilarious tbh. And these are only a few examples. In WWE 13 the only chant I ever heard was "Rocky! Rocky! Rocky!"

This! The chants are awesome, i even got "We want Tables" in a Table match and sometimes ladder in Extreme Rules matches.

I'm not all that impressed with the crowd, but it's probably because most of the reactions are for the in-game wrestlers and I mainly use CAWs.  Since I add most of my crowd noise after the fact when I make my videos, it's not a big deal for me.

They're all recorded from WWE Events, TV Tapings, Pay-PEr-Views, Fan Axxess, etc.

 

and on the note of hilarious chants, I got three interesting ones:

 

First, I got a, posssibly, unique dueling chant when playing John Cena VS Daniel Bryan; Whenever Cena was in control, they'd often rapidly chant "NO! NO! NO!" and when I [bryan] was in control, they'd chant "YES! YES! YES!" a lot.

 

Second, I got similar to the BoD chant, I was doing Rated RKO VS DX for the fuck of it, and if Orton was in the ring, I got "Went want Edge! We want Edge!" and when Triple H was in the ring, I got dueling "Triple H! HBK!" chants, though not when HBK was in the ring.

 

And Third, I did Orton VS Bryan in a TLC Match and constantly got "We want Tables/Ladders" and eventually "We want chairs!"

Let me first say I am a fan of WWE games and I do enjoy WWE2K14.  I think 2K did an amazing job with most of their audio improvements from last year with the exception of the glitches[audio during title match intros, various commentary clips at wrong or puzzling times, or outright wrong clips of commentary when they have nothing to do with what is happening in ring]. 

 

I believe that despite the improvements, 2K still needs to work on crowd and crowd chants/interaction.  WWF Warzone & WWF Attitude came out 1998 and 1999 respectively and both were superior to WWE2k14 in the crowd chant department.  They had audio clips based on who was in the ring and even though both games had glitch issues at times, the crowd chants and commentary were both smarter in many ways.  For example, when The Undertaker hit a choke slam in WWF Attitude the commentary team didn't refer to it as a tombstone piledriver or another wrong inaccurate move.  Also, the crowd chants might have been repetitive but they were accurate.  Also, the crowds have remained virtually the same flat, 2D cardboard cutout models that they have been since the first WWF Smackdown game on the original Playstation.  This may be to save time, but with the technology advances in graphics and gaming there is no excuse for that.  There should be full 3D models who move and react based on action happening and smart trends.  Hopefully these issues will be noticed and addressed in upcoming 2K titles because it is simply lazy and inexcusable to have the same boring and unrealistic reflection while everything else seems almost exactly spot on.  But then again, I am not the typical WWE and wrestling game fan as I believe these games should be improving by leaps and bounds each time one comes out instead of keeping them mostly the same yearly.  Even if this meant delaying next year's game by another year, I'd want to see more time devoted to authenticity and focus on polishing these crucial details that make WWE unique with crowds.

Also, in WWE '12, when you made an entrance for your CAW, the crowd cheered and popped to poses/taunts and fireworks. In WWE '13, they stayed completely neautral through CAW entrances no matter what, but popped for the roster superstars. in WWE 2k14, they somehow now stay neautral on Roster entrances AND CAW entrances.... doesn't this annoy anyone else? It annoys me....ruins the entrances completely.

I care to argue with what you say about the crowd during matches, but the crowd during the entrances does annoyme aswell.

Chants can be better? probably in general lines, the crowd chants in reversal, etc, could be better and add more ambient sounds during all the match.

but the true is that never a WWE game had better chants, crowd sounds like this year, and 2K took the game later.

 

The chants when Cena is in the ring are cool.

The thing that I loved was when I played nWo vs the Shield and they chanted "You've still got it!" Whenever Hall or Nash were in control and when the Shield were they booed them. I love Wrestlemania epic matches on legend difficulty. Believe play on legend difficulty and epic setting and you get more chants from the crowd.

I don't like how there are always people chanting "Daniel Bryan" when I use CAWs. It happens all the time, and it just makes no sense. It's usually not too bad with in game wrestlers - but then I rarely use them.

I noticed a weird glitch with stone cold vs cm punk they were chanting "goldberg" and believe it or not they were chanting and quote this "let's go taker" and "batista", I thought wtf? 2k need to sort out the crowd glitch, they really do. Who agrees?

I don't know. I think the crowd in WWE 2k14 is just fine. In some previous series I felt like the crowds were dull and quiet. 

 

Edit: However I do agree the game tends to be buggy and is exposed to annoying glitches.

I think it sucks as well because no matter how good a CAW is in their career the crowd still picks high ranking roster superstars over them. And Bret Hart has no chant... which is very stupid. I noticed Hogan doesn't have one, either. Sometimes I think the crowd signs glitch. Where they'll be holding up a lot more crowd signs for the heel than for the face. My main CAW of Steven Tyler is a multi champion, has a 8-0 WM streak, has held the WWE Championship for hundreds of weeks without losing it, and I always have him make the crowd happy. He's one of the heels that always make the most bad of heels look horrible.
 

BUT STILL! HIS CROWD REACTION SUCKS!!!!

I'd have John Cena not be in the high ranks for maybe 10 years, and the crowd STILL loves him!! BOO THE LOSER ALREADY!! And what retarded crowd picks Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Stone Cold, the Rock, or Ryback (If he's a face) over BRET HART?!!

Sometimes when you pull off a finisher the crowd doesn't even react. Sometimes the crowd will glitch and not cheer/boo over anything. Heels who are really bad and vicious needed to be booed a lot more. Faces who are very good need to be cheered for more.
There should also be a setting for superstars who are RELATED. Like lets say... in real life Natalya is Bret Hart's niece. The Rock is Roman Reigns' cousin. Undertaker is Kane's brother. Maybe Steven's daughter became a WWE Diva and now she's on the roster, and her crowd reaction should be a little high because she's a daughter of his.

I swear, if I worked on the WWE games, I would make them so good you wouldn't stop playing them.
