iamthedoctor Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) Second part! Im testing these pics out with VLC snapshot unsure if they are better than print screen function but they dont seem as large. Edited April 11, 2014 by iamthedoctor
HarlotEffect Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 VLC is best because you can take PNGs, straight from the source in the original source's resolution. So no horrible stretching (Unless you stretch the video which is a huge no no, never stretch video.)
DP1™ Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Hey! Could you help me out with three Adam Rose attires? I say only three as I'm waiting for his debut for the fourth.

So no horrible stretching (Unless you stretch the video which is a huge no no, never stretch video.) Every other post from me in this thread has been pressing the print screen button after Ive paused the video then cropping the video to cut all the black bits off & saving in jpeg. Alough I always change the aspect ratio to 13:9 so the pic looks nice and big. Are you telling that if I simply dont touch the ratio and just load the video and take a snapshot it would show better results? Because everytime I use VLC to play a video it tends to show the video in the wrong side where as WMP never does this.
iamthedoctor Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 (edited) Ok Ive paused the vid and have done a comparing thing to see which is best. Here is the print screen version Now here is the VLC snapshot version but untouched Big difference in size. Ok heres another example. Ive taken a cap of Heat episode 4 Print Screen version with the ratio changed Now here is the VLC snapshot untouched The problem with snapshotting is it gives a terrible small size pic so you wont be able to see every detail compared to a large pic version. HarlotEffect Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 VLC, just because stretching 4:3 footage should just never happen. It makes everything all stretched and horrible. You should just leave them in the original aspect ratio of which they were filmed in. Cause stretching the image distorts it, and some quality is lost. Also you can set the snapshot to be eithe JPEG or PNG.

So I take it whether its in png or jpeg doesnt matter. Edited April 12, 2014 by iamthedoctor

But if you watch it on a 360 for example it should play the DVD at it's native (Basically the aspect ratio it was filmed in). WWE never used widescreen until like 2008, when they used HD, same with TNA. And obviously WCW & ECW were never widescreen. If you look at the ones you did comparing stretched and the native 4:3 you should see a huge difference. Edited April 12, 2014 by HarlotEffect93
iamthedoctor Posted April 18, 2014 Author Posted April 18, 2014 Yeah but you can see more detail in a stretched image.
