Rivalries

So what happens in a rivalry in universe mode? I'm thinking of starting one with Ryback and John Cena but before I do, I want to know what would happen.

Uhh, nothing. It just means that cutscenes happen more often, and after every cutscene you always get a little news report on how the feud is escalating.

For me it books the rivals to face each other every single week even though Aubrey assured us it wouldn't. I've had like two rivalry matches that didn't involve the other rival. It also randomly deletes the rivalries even if you turn automatic rivalries off. Pretty disappointing in my opinion.

the deleting a rivalry you created is a bug, it deleted my undertaker vs damien sandow rivalry, and i ended up having no WHC at king of the ring, I was pissed

It deleted my 4-Week D-Bry/Orton feud following WrestleMania. I figured it did it because I didn't play their first match, but, meh. I can see myself only using Rivalry Manager for low-profile/undercard rivalries after my current 5 [big Show/Kane, Triple H/HBK [i turned HBK Face at WrestleMania after Hunter ordered him to mock The Rock after Shawn beat him by using the People's Elbow, and instead, mid-run, he hit SCM on Triple H; Triple H then lost to Big Show and got forced out of being COO. ] John Cena/Wade Barrett, Stone Cold/Alberto Del Rio and Code: Show-Off [AKA Chris Jericho and Dolph Ziggler, the current Tag Team Champions] VS The Shield] are finished. Rivalry manager's a good feature on paper, but they executed it poorly. When I have Cena and Barrett set for a Title Match at Extreme Rules, I don't want them facing off 4 times prior in Extreme Rules Matches BEFORE their Extreme Rules Title Match AT Extreme Rules.

i put cena on mid-card, he my int champ lmao, wade was int champ for 2 years and cena beat him at wm 32

Thankfully I haven't had any of my feuds delete yet, other than the ones that were supposed to delete after completing the timeframe you select for it. Other than the occasional, Rival tag teams teaming with one another (which only happened once, second time Yokozuna didn't show up to the match, leaving Taker to fend for himself), I really don't have any issues with Rivalry manager.
