tekken57 Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 (edited) Yes you can use any string names, you just need to change the pointers of the objects which reference the strings. Otherwise you'll have intercontinental title being called Kurt Angle. For now I'm using the Nick Name of the existing superstars for my new guys and changing the refs for the old guys. A further complication is that there is a file called string_dlc3.pac in the nWo dlc. The game reads that and discards all my new strings. Anyways edited the dlc strings file and all is good now. The only thing is the the strings file will be need to be changed in a the dlc file everytime a new dlc pack is released. Ok, just finished some of the npc's and ran into an issue adding dlc. The save container for the dlc on the xbox only allows for 32 entries and ignores anything more than that. So I had to leave out Justin Roberts, Referee and Ricardo Rodriguez. Does anyone have dlc 1 (pre order Undertaker file) so that I can test this limitation. The game is also preventing adding new dlc packs I create, have no idea why for now. For now that means we're limited to editing existing dlc packs to add new wrestlers. 4 dlc packs = 128 wrestlers. Some of the npc's don't have renders (moveset man, piper, finkel, dancer1, dancer2, etc). Most of the others have renders. The movesets and entrances will also need to be fixed. I'm going to give them all Stone Cold's moveset to save time. Will you guys actually play with the npc's? Do I need to add them? This is who I've added so far: Security Guard Security Guard 2 God Father Ho 1 God Father Ho 2 Cameron Naomi Mike Tyson Motion Test Model Michael Cole Jerry Lawler Moveset Man Mr Perfect Paul Bearer Howard Finkel Miss Elizabeth Roddy Piper Jim Ross Mr Fuji Bobby Heenan Edited November 15, 2013 by tekken57 Quote
Mathayus Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 (edited) I would preffer only to get from NPC´s Mr Perfect, I made his mod yet. Mike Tyson. Maybe Miss Elizabeth to put the tag entrance with Macho. But the rest better to be unlocked. I never want to play like as manager in a match or JR, or that kind of guys. EDIT: Tekken, will be able to put the DLC wrestlers pac (NWO pack) into the USB with X-Packer 9? Easy to edit and skipping some freezing issues. Does the method myself and brienj use to add alt attire for justin Gabriel still work.. We added the alt attire as a new pac in the games ch folder then added it to the lists Thats how I did the original nexus mod So, you put the Ch pack in the games folder and edited the misc.pac in the DLC. And arcs updated in the DLC too? Then the games read the first attire from the DLC and how it can´t find the second attire in the DLC it reads the Games folder for the rest of attires? tekken57 Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 (edited) Same here. The only npc's I would use is Perfect and Lawler and miss Elizabeth. The others are pretty useless. Piper looks like a caw and only has one attire, so it's better to use him as a caw and add the alt atires from Superstar Heads. Anyways you guys decide who I should include? As far as I know, you can't load dlc from a USB stick. Edited November 15, 2013 by tekken57 Quote

For Piper, same here. The first think I did was creating him with the superstars Heads. better than unlock him, cause you can put his wrestling attire. Mankind isn´t an unlockable too? His CH is in the game. Quote
motishow Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I prefer to get from NPC, Mr Perfect, Lawler, Miss Elisabeth and Mankind. Grat job Tekken Quote
kidsampson Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 (edited) I agree about the npcs and their limited use. Other than those that may actually be used in a wrestling role, they don't appeal to me. Perhaps energy and time would be better invested in just focusing on the wrestlers, particularly if space becomes a limiting factor of how many models can be added. This is particularly true of managers that may already be selected in game with workarounds. I do have a question though. I remember that when brien added models to a previous game they were not functional in some modes - for example, there was once a career mode in which they could not be used. Do you anticipate any issues with using these models across Universe, Story Designer, or any other modes or menus? Edited November 15, 2013 by kidsampson Quote
HeymanHustle Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Why would you want NPC Lawler? I'd prefer him in his wrestling gear from 12 lol. Quote

Red Rooster Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Yeah, only NPCs I would use are Perfect, Elizabeth, and maybe Heenan and Fuji (but probably not) Quote
zhigge Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 or you could just put them as alternate.. thats what i did used 2 manager pacs and added the others in like both version of jr and cole and king.. Quote

tekken57 Posted November 16, 2013 Author Posted November 16, 2013 (edited) Ran into some problems. I've fixed the names in the strings.pac file in dlc3. The game loads it fine but my outsiders, nwo giant don't load and freeze the game. Seems like changing anything in the dlc file causes this. I am rebuilding and rehasing the dlc after any changes in Le Fluffie. Anyone have a solution. Edited November 16, 2013 by tekken57 Quote
zhigge Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 don't rebuild the dlc.. the only way i got le fluffie to work last year was to do the replace and do a fix. doing the rebuilding always resulting in problems. try that and see if it works. Quote
OverTheEdge Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I was going to say, Tekken, that sounds like the exact problem I had last year when it came to doing anything with the DLC: Try and change one thing, have it work successfully, but then find out that a few unrelated things don't work. I tried modding the Ministry Undertaker in last year's second pack and then AJ wouldn't work. I messed with the crowd signs in the third pack and CAW Mode wouldn't work. This was the case no matter what I tried--whether I did replacements through hex, tried the rebuild option in Le Fluffie, or did like zhigge said and didn't. That was the one thing I could just never get going for some reason. Quote

tekken57 Posted November 16, 2013 Author Posted November 16, 2013 Using zhigges solution worked and my nWo dlc works now. Posted some status updates on in post 1 and 2. Just need to finish movesets and entrances for dlc pack. Everything else is done. Made quite a few strides in finishing up the functionality in x-packer 9. Will be releasing a beta version soon. KREATIV Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Cool, when you gona release it, I hope there would be good toturial for not professionals modders like myself. Quote

I am rebuilding and rehasing the dlc after any changes in Le Fluffie. Anyone have a solution. I tried replacing Curt Hennig with the same filesize and it works for him. But when I use Steiner, the game freezes in the winning animation. I remember to brienj saying that Le Fluffie don´t rebuild properly the DLC for WWE games. EDIT: Try to install the XDK and using XLAST to rebuild the DLC. Brienj said this about rebuilding with Le Fluffie: The DLC is obviously not being rebuilt correctly, and you should just replace the file byte for byte in a hex editor and then resign it. That's the only way to make sure the file is replaced correctly. Now if it still fucks up after doing that, then it's the PAC file that is fucked up. EDIT2: SO we can use Le Fluffie wthout the rebuilding function if the filesize is the same. Edited November 16, 2013 by Mathayus Quote
