motishow Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 @motishow and Connor Macloed, you can add alt/entrance attires as normal to the dlc guys. APA Bradshaw, LOD entrance gear can be taken care of in this manner. Do we edit the normal arcs and misc1_start files or do we edit catalog _hd in dlc 3? i will test it today, i think you don't have to modify the misc.pac for an entrance attire bcs you aren't adding an alt attire. I think we have to update arcs only Quote
tekken57 Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 @coroner, there was a list which controlled the superstar threads. I used to edit this in 2012 to get the npc's to appear. Haven't looked for it for the past few years. I would think it's in one of the edit.pac files. @motishow, misc.pac is only required for alt attires not for entrance attires. Quote

I know you mentioned that before the dlc was being added, my confusion is after adding npc's as dlc, why Heenan/Elizabeth show up and Fuji/Mankind don't in threads. If I didn't want screenshots of the NPC's to add to the reference guide I doubt it would matter to me otherwise. I'll dig around a see if I can figure it out, if nobody else has already. tekken57 Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 That's because I assume they are on the original superstar threads list. Maybe the game designers wanted users to create alt attires for Elizabeth and Heenan. Quote
Connor MacLeod Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I fixed The Road Warriors to have their entrance attires worked like a charm, did the same thing for Too Cool & the game crashed before it even started up. I tried it several times, so I decided to add just them and Too Cool loaded perfect, then I added back the Warriors and the game crashed again before loading. It seems I can only have one of the teams with entrance attire till I can figure out wtf the problem is. So I went with The Road Warriors. Anyone have any ideas? Quote
tekken57 Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 (edited) That's strange. Those freezing errors are usually caused by incorrect arc entries, but editing the dlc pack 3 also causes all sorts of problems. Edited November 22, 2013 by tekken57 Quote
Connor MacLeod Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 (edited) Yeah that's what I thought as well, it was the first time I had touched the arcs since before I got the Community DLC. So I decided to just put everything back the way it was for now, I can deal with no entrance attires for the time being. Edited November 22, 2013 by Connor MacLeod Quote
bugsyboy Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 @Connor MacLeod, I was having similar issues with Outsiders freezing when I tried to create a team. Found out that it was being caused by the dlc pack 3. I redid the dlc pack3 but didn't use rebuild and my issues were fixed. @motishow and Connor Macloed, you can add alt/entrance attires as normal to the dlc guys. APA Bradshaw, LOD entrance gear can be taken care of in this manner. My list for the next dlc would be: - X-Pac (need him to complete my DX stable) - Demolition - Bossman - Shane o' mac (for a wcw invasion angle I have planned). I am going to be renaming this thread "The ongoing community dlc thread". It should be used for future DLC community discussion. I will be releasing X-Packer 9 and the community dlc in seperate threads later today. Yeah. X-Pac for D-X stable. For that I need HHH DX too. And I forgot completely Shane O´Mac! Yes please lets not forget Shane McMahon he is my Bishop Quote
mrelectriccity Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 man i really want to get into and start doing stuff like this but im just to lost lol i have no idea what majority of it means i had downloaded a bunch of programs from here saying this is what i need and can get some things to pop up and some can't. only thing i've gotten to work was a save editor by hacker-t but it doesn't let u mod the looks of the characters just unlocks all wrestlers and npc and attributes and abilities. which all it needs is the save game file and i can get it to work so is there any way when u are finished to save it as a gamesave file that way i can replace it with mine and rehash & resign it Quote

For the rest, what you need is time to read and learn. For what you want to start? - Adding alt attires. - Creating new textures. - Adding new models. Each things needs to be learned and in this forum you can find a tuto for anything. The T-Hacker tool is good for retail consoles, but for real modding you need X-Packer. Quote
Connor MacLeod Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I enabled the APA attires for Bradshaw & Farooq, when I choose Bradshaw's second it's the APA if I choose Farooq's second it's still the Acolyte attire. I'm wonder if it is because he has two versions of himself? Quote
zhigge Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 you know all you had to do was swap the 02 and 12 in the pac to have the apa attire as default and not have to waste an attire. Quote

Well duh, it's not like I just started doing this stuff. But I was wanting both attires in the game, But if you switch Farooq's pachs and choose the second one no matter if it is switched or not he comes out in w/e attire one is. BTW. how am I "wasting" an attire by trying to get the second one enabled when they both already have it? Edited November 23, 2013 by Connor MacLeod Quote

Did you use Tekken's dummy.pac for the working Road Warriors, inject Pachs into the Pacs provided in the DLC or something else? I've been trying the injection method and it's like the game just ignores the existence of a '...04' file. I really can't see why the game would read DLC models differently to ingame ones, unless the entrance attire needs to be referenced somewhere else (for DLC) that hasn't been discovered by the community yet..? Connor MacLeod Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 (edited) Like I said before I could only get them or Too Cool to load the entrance attires not both teams, but all I did was update the plist360.arc for both Hawk & Animal that's about it bro. if you try it though, back up the plist360.arc so you can replace it back if any thing goes wrong. El Guapo Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Never touched the plist360.arc before - I'll give it a try, thanks Quote
yusuf203 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 hey i have a problem , every time i finish step 3 on the community dlc my save data gets corrupted, need assistance please i dont know what im doing wrong i even messed up and lost my original save with my universe Quote
tekken57 Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 @GuWap103 I clearly stated that I don't want a save to be shared. Please don't ask for one. @connor, can you please move this discussion over to the community dlc pack 1 thread. That thread is reserved for those issues. I added both Road warriors and too cool entrance gear and the game loads fine. However there is a problem with one of the other pac files which is causing the issue, could be one of the APA. This what I do to figure the problem out, open a pac file, add the entries to the arc. Load the game and see if it's fine. If it works, take a backup of your arc file. Repeat the process for the next pac file until you figure out which one is causing the problem. Guys I may be away from the forums for a few days, one of my aunt's just passed away and I need to drive 700 km's to another city to attend the funeral. Quote

zhigge Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 (edited) I found the issue: the problem is with syxx pac.. for some reason it got reset to blank meaning no moves or taunts or nothing. you have to open it in movesets and select default and that restores it. after that both attires should work. oddly enough my ryback 10 pac got reset also..
