The D Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 (edited) The D's Mods: I'm not great at Photoshop; just learning. Go easy. ---Seth RollinsThe beard looks darker from further away. I assume it's because the 3D one looks lighter up close or something? Who knows.- Face heavily updated- Hair saturation fix---Darren YoungA couple of colour issues and I may kill some of the highlighting on the nose. Back logo needs to be resized. Credit to Smk for back logo!- Darker skin tone- Face heavily tweaked- New trunk logos- Hair updated---Titus O'Neil:Still got to tidy up a couple of things and I plan on retexturing the lips and got to decrease the shine on the trunks.- Face heavily tweaked- New trunks logos- Darker skin tone- More body shineStill little things to tweak on the front logo.---Wade Barrett:- Face heavily edited- New Attire logos Credit to Auday Alyafi for the logos (Cleaned them up a little)- More overall shine---The Undertaker (WM29):Bugged me that Undertaker's attire was inaccurate. I've also always disliked this model, so I've updated it a little. Still need to edit the normals for the old leg logos. If I buy XRay, I've got some ideas for morphing tweaks that would help a lot.- WM29 Attire Added- Mohawk Made Darker- Face Updated- Skin Colour Tweaked- More Baldhttps://www.mediafire.com/?3egg6x8ylnuajak---Brock Lesnar (Extreme Rules 2012):I know there have been a few mods of his return attire, but they either haven't been released or I didn't like some of the alterations/inaccuracies. There are still issues with logo placement, but again, without 3DS Max I've had enough of going back and forth for tonight.- Return Attire Added- Updated Face (Small tweaks)- Updated Body Skin (Back and front skin folds added)https://www.mediafire.com/?rmnct06arsy9mfj---Cesaro: (RAW vs John Cena: February 17th 2014)No entrance attire yet. I know the socks and boots are shorter, but I don't have the time to mess around fixing that stuff, especially as I was never able to get 3DS Max working and I have to go back and forth ingame checking how it looks. A couple of size issues with the tights design, but an easy fix when I can be bothered.- New Attire- Heavier stubble- Lip Colour Fixed- More bald- Entrance Attire Collar makes it a bit shitty from a couple of angles, but still looks really good the entire entrance. A couple of bits to touch up and then this one is ready to go.http://www.mediafire.com/download/r9ss6h0decka86k/TheDCesaro.rar(Current download is WITHOUT the entrance attire)---Edge:- All tattoos added- Hair saturation fix- Beard updatedhttp://www.mediafire.com/download/2vgrjf8gew1fg4w/TheDEdge.rar--------Triple H (2002 return model fix)As with all of them, still a couple of placment issues.- Updated Face- Logo Fix- Shine Fix- Updated Body- Hack FixChristopher DanielsCLICK IMAGE TO VIEW AT THE RIGHT SIZEhttp://youtu.be/9ckYRPpEpnEStill a lot of work to do but it's shaping up quite nicely! The D Posted November 10, 2013 Author Posted November 10, 2013 Alright, cheers man! Obviously, if someone does feel like trying this for me then send me a PM and send you the texture without the watermarks. Quote
Samy Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Off topic but My main issue is that I'm colourblind Then how is it when you make caws? Isn't it hard? I'm colorblind myself Quote
dads Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 You should let me test this on a caw I'm making. Quote
The D Posted November 10, 2013 Author Posted November 10, 2013 Off topic but My main issue is that I'm colourblind Then how is it when you make caws? Isn't it hard? I'm colorblind myself I remember the numbers. I can look at the base number values of the skin tone and work from there and make it a couple of clicks more red if I need to. However, I'm not sure of a way to check the colour value (well, the general colour) in Paint.net. Quote

BrotchMrToast Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 You're colorblind? As far as I know there are different stages of being colorblind. If I'm correct, are you able to tell if a color is (for example) light red or dark red, or is it that hard that you literaly only see in Black and white? OT: Nice texture But the arms, body and face doesn't match up that much in terms of color. The Arms and the body should be more red-ish. Quote

I have confusion between shades of the same colour, which is why skin tones are difficult. I find it hard to tell the difference between shades that are very similiar like the face/chest/arms. I do sometimes find it hard to differentiate between yellow and green as well, shade depending. It's frustrating to say the least. Cheers for the compliment on the texture! I've messed around editing textures before to make CAWs and that but I've never done one from scratch and tried to blend it in like this. Confidence boost! I'll try and work out the colour differences tomorrow. Quote
Samy Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Same with green and yellow! also purple/dark blue, red/brown.. sorry for going off topic again Quote

I need hours to make a decent CAW, don't even get me started with textures, and I'm not even colorblind. So keep it up man. No probs man, I just gave credit where credit is due Quote
Connor MacLeod Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I'll be more than happy to try this out for you. Quote
The D Posted November 10, 2013 Author Posted November 10, 2013 PM'd you Connor, thank you! Thanks for the replies everyone. <3 Quote
Mathayus Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Same with green and yellow! also purple/dark blue, red/brown.. sorry for going off topic again Same problem for me. But never was a problem really. The texture looks good. What model are you going to use as base? Quote
The D Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 I'm actually pretty happy with this; so awesome to see it ingame. Thank you so much, Connor! I can see what areas need tweaking (especially the eye area on the texture; doesn't look Daniel's like at the moment) but any suggestions on how to smooth this out some more would be phenomenal. gazwefc Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Why is it that you can still see punks wrist bands and elbow pad through the texture? Do they work like shin does and are placed over the texture? Quote
tich Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Why is it that you can still see punks wrist bands and elbow pad through the texture? Do they work like shin does and are placed over the texture? because of normal map, alpha channel that need to be edited too, and even after that you'll still see the elbow pad or boots etc... 3d model Quote

jcsix Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Physical 3D parts, no (Apart from some hair). But you can edit the normal map to have them how you want to look. So, remove wrinkles on pants/tights/tops, add facial hair onto it to stop making facial hair look painted on etc. You can do that to Punks elbow and hand tape as there not actually 3D if you get me? SAMEH209 Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Looking good with some improvements will be great waiting for v2 and more tna mods if you please Quote

Makes sense; just need to get my head around this stuff, hah. If you ever need any help, I'll always be here Editing those are pretty easy, the normal.dds has 2 main textures you should edit. One purple/blue and the other is black and white. The black and white one is essentially the same as the colored one you do (color.dds) which controls shine and visibility. You can copy and paste the color then alter, but I normally merge all the edited stuff from the color version, paste that over then edit. So say if there is default parts, I keep that as it originally was if you get me? The purple doesn't really use the textures, but it does. The face is alittle different and muscle/wrinkles etc. is controlled on that along with facial hair/hair. So for example say If I was to add a mustache to Cody Rhodes (This is the WWE 13 model). If I was to only do the color texture (color.dds which is what Daniels is here) and leave the other stuff, you would get the texture, but it would look painted on like below: Now, if you wanted to remove facial hair and only did it on the color texture and left the normal default, the facial hair shape will still be shown (Ignore the black, I filled that in on the color to see where the 3D beard is): Quote
The D Posted November 11, 2013 Author Posted November 11, 2013 Eh, I got lost around the copy and paste and edit bit. I think it'll make more sense when I have a look at the files for myself. I got my RGH today and started playing 2K14 so when I have some time over the next couple of days I'll spend some time looking at the files and getting used to how to swap the mods and import textures and that. It does make sense when I read it but yeah, I think seeing it first hand will make it all sink in. Basically, the color.dds file is the colours and visibility that's put on over the purple coloured dds file that controls raised detail, but not true detail such as hair etc which is a seperate file on the CAW. So, if I want to get rid of say, the raised stars from the CM Punk texture then I'd need to delete them on the purple dds file as well? In that case, does that mean I could add raised detail to the CAW such as the wristbands and armbands that he wears? Or, does that also have to correspond to the mesh model itself? Quote
jcsix Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) I think your getting it Pretty much like you said. The color.dds or normal.dds (Puple/B&W) could be over each other (I think the normal.dds goes over color, but that doesn't really matter) and the purple file adds the depth like you said. It doesn't really add physical depth, but it give the illusion that it does. The best example is CM Punk's elbow tape. The wrinkles on that are done through the purple file. If that was solid, it would be smooth. That, or even logos on wrestlers singlet such as Diesel. Yup, if you want to remove say the stars on CM Punk's trunks and you only did it on the color.dds file, you would still see the "Raised" ones (You can see them on your Daniels picture). So, if you go over those in purple (Or pink/blue depending what the trunks color are in that area). They will be gone. You would have to remove the stars on the black & white one if that area is more shiny though. Yes you can!, I do this on the mods I do as it just looks much better and matches the default ones. Again, its not "physically" 3D, but gives the illusion it is. Alot of models don't have that much 3D parts. If it is, its only the hair, pants, boots, tops and pads most of the times. But most, if not all logos which look 3D are done through the purple normal.dds file. Edited November 12, 2013 by jcsix Quote
The D Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 That makes sense, man. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain it all! Quote
_HiBye_ Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) the texture looks good. i think you should try someone else as a base and not punk. Edited November 12, 2013 by _HiBye_ Quote
