I know what barebones means, my reply was a tongue in cheek remark about the lack of inclusions this year. And yes, next year everything will be rolled back to a core experience due to development time and constraints. Time to get to grips with it. Now continue to defend whoever you're defending for whatever reason, Cory, Yukes, THQ, everyone involved. 

okay whatever if you want tna impact the wwe edition be my guest... that being said, i'm not even going next gen so if wwe2k15 on 360/ps3 ends up being a bare boned game i will not get it. plain and simple

 

 

if cory ledesma is gone I would like to official vote for aubrey sitterson to be promoted to cory's former job, aubrey desrves to be a creative manager or something along that line.

Please tell me this is a joke... it has to be right?  Aubrey the guy whose answer to a glitch was "you guys are just playing the game wrong" and "its not a glitch, it is an intentional design"?  That guy?  The guy who is a comic book editor and knows nothing about game development or design?  That guy?  No thanks.  I think Cory accomplished as much as he could with the budget and support he was given. I wouldn't mind seeing what he could do with the support of 2k.  I also wouldn't mind seeing what Bryan could do.  Even Marcus was also part designer for the game when he was the social media manager. I also won't mind seeing a fresh take on it as long as they don't start from scratch.  That would be like the TNA game we got.  What I would mind is Aubrey having any more to do with this game than he already does.

Whats with the guy whos defending Cory in this thread with all his might? Lol..I was never the "oh my gawddd, Cory Ledesma you've ruined my gameee!!" type. But after all the years of playing these games since Smackdown on the PS1, I realize that there were some good decisions and bad decisions made. And recently, many of Cory's decisions have produced some rather lackluster results, therefore if he's gone, great. That opens the doors to a lot more possibilities with the next game.

 

 

IF he truly is gone though, I highly doubt 2k will have that hard of time recreating a proper wrestling sim. They're great at doing it with other forms of sports, therefore I have confidence they'll make it as realistic as can be along with the stellar gameplay 2k games are known for. And now that we're almost certain Yukes will be back, 2k still has the core game engine. Though that too, needs to be changed and completely overhauled.

But after all the years of playing these games since Smackdown on the PS1, I realize that there were some good decisions and bad decisions made. And recently, many of Cory's decisions have produced some rather lackluster results, therefore if he's gone, great. That opens the doors to a lot more possibilities with the next game.

 

 

IF he truly is gone though, I highly doubt 2k will have that hard of time recreating a proper wrestling sim. They're great at doing it with other forms of sports, therefore I have confidence they'll make it as realistic as can be along with the stellar gameplay 2k games are known for. Given the fact that 2k has one "voice" for their games I'm not too up in arms and ready to discuss whether or not Cory's around. If you want my honest input? Yeah I think he'll be around. Why? Because they said they were taking on a lot of the key people from the WWE games team with the experience. To me that means two people. Bryan for the gameplay and such. Then Cory for everything else. Of course they're going to have Aubrey post about it, he's the interactive marketing manager aka their community person who really interacts with the fans, they have one person to do that for each game and I believe he's that person. Do I think Cory's done completley? Nah. At least not for now. Maybe he doesn't want to relocate. Maybe it's not even about that and it goes back to what I said. 2k wanting one voice. Either way jumping to a conclusion like that isn't a good thing to do. Lets wait until closer to the announcement of the next game. They wouldn't have said they took the entire THQ team if they're gonna just ditch Cory. IF he's gone then that sucks as I'd hate to see anyone lose their job. I just hope if he's gone Bryan stays on.

I understand.... and i admit i aimed my frustrations at corey when in all honesty a lot of it might have been to do with thq's financial problems, but i made some valid points. and i just took offence to the way you responded by lumping me with a group of people that i'm nothing like.

 

I was just venting my frustrations with the previous administration, i felt they exploited me and every other wrestling fan. I felt like they knew we had no other game to buy, so as wrestling fans we were ALWAYS going to buy the game as long as it had new characters in every year, so thats pretty much all they gave us, yes they changed the engine, but when I go back and play SVR2011 the engine upgrade really isn't that big a deal...

 

and that kinda behaviour from companies really pisses me off, so that's why i believe anyone associated with the previous administration would be no great loss as they probably have bad habits from years of producing work that wasn't they're best (wether it was they're fault or not).

well i wasn't trying to put it out like that, and i do see your side of the coin as well. but from where i heard it in interviews was that cory and company stated that thq were the fuck ups that they refused to release funds for resources for patches, bug testing etc. That's one of the reasons why the last 3-4 games have felt like glitchy messes at time. I guess we both got a bit off the deepend lol so yeah like i said i definitely understand where you're coming from as well.. and of course there are some things that didn't make sense: Like removing patterns in svr10, adding them back in svr11, removing custom skintones in svr11 adding them back in wwe13,the list really goes on and on. But at the end of the day (and this post) all i guess i was trying to say is that cory and co. can't be at fault for everything.

Regardless of who thinks what, it's never good for someone to lose their job. With that being said -- If you have a job, and you dont do your job correctly, then yes, there is great reason for you to be fired. Now, the fact is that none of us worked for THQ, so we have no idea about what was said behind their doors. No matter who name drops about knowing this person, or says they talked to this person about this or that-- none of us were there, so we dont know. Now, the only thing we truly can go by is the end product- the game itself. So judging by that, it wouldnt seem as if things were done properly. Was that because Cory was lazy, or because THQ had no funding, or because the moon was full or because of global warming. We dont know for sure. So everything said regarding that is pure speculation. The more and more I play this game, I can tell that this is a pure THQ game.  The only thing 2k has done for the game is put their logo on the box IMO. WWE2K15 will be the true measure.

also cory did mention on twitter about about 2 months ago about his final trip to yukes in japan before the release of wwe 2k14 went well and they had alot of idea's for the future, which to me was a confirmation that yukes are sticking around.

you can't compair mlb baseball to wwe, wwe is more exiting, and so is nba so thats why people are expecting the greatness of the nba games

for the wwe games because there both more exciting than baseball.

 

plus Ill say it again, we will have vc and yukes workinbg together not vc by itself and that will be a big difference. Also I strongly beleive that 2k sports has more wwe fan's and more nba fans than mlb fan's.  So it will be a big difference and to be honest

I feel like all mlb games including mlb 2k, mlb the show, ea mvp mlb baseball, or even ea college baseball etc all suck anyways, Ive never been a fan of mlb baseball video games, or a majority of any baseball video games period, and I em a fan of mlb baseball just never really liked any of the games as in my opinion that category of video games stink, With one exception the best baseball video game ever is baseball hero's on facebook that is the best baseball game hands down. Anyways I strongly believe that 2k and vc and yukes will make far better and superior games than any of there mlb games and I think they know this and I think that wwe knows this and thats why wwe hired 2k and that is why 2k was interested in wwe.

Honestly, this is a non issue to me.  If this is correct and Cory is gone, the show will go on.  Games will continue being made and I'm sure some will always complain about what is/isn't being included.  It has been the same pattern ever since the first game in this series came out and likely to continue as long as WWE games are made.  If someone can step up and do a better job than Ledesma did, I am all for it.  Sometimes a fresh perspective is needed to revolutionize a series and this is the opportunity to do just that.
