Milanista83
Hello all, is it just me who controls my caw in universe mode, playing it like a career mode, or does anyone else do the same, if so how do you find it particularly 12 week rivalries for the title? MarvstaX
I sometimes control my CAWs, depends on how I'm feeling and who I want to push, current feuds, who else is being pushed etc. Generally I always have them start on my Minor Show, stay on there for at least 1 year, though will let them be in the Rumble (not winning though) and also give them an opening match on a PPV with someone else from the Minor Show. When I do get around to pushing my main CAW on the main roster, I'll probably have him feud with a non-title holder for a while, I'm thinking Justin Gabriel, Mason Ryan or one of the legends. After that, will either have another non-tile feud or work on him getting a tag team or mid card title... Eventually getting him to a World Title position, however that usually isn't for a few years, I usually just let him be an upper mid carder for the most part until breaking out into a high profile feud. I'm thinking for this year I'll have him end up going against Wade Barrett for the World Heavyweight Championship.. But we'll see. All in all, I enjoy this cause as you said, it's more of a career mode if done this way.
Milanista83
That's a good way of doing things, one thing, does anyone think it's normal that after one 12 week rivalry for a title you have more? Does that even happen in the wwe anymore, I know 8 week rivalries tend to be the norm
MarvstaX
Yeah well keeps things interesting in my opinion. In regards to having more rivalries after a 12 week one, I've done that so far, I had The Miz in a Rivalry with Dolph Ziggler over the Intercontinental Championship (vacant) Ziggler ended up winning the title, but their was too much tension between them to just let it go to waste, so I immediately set up another 8 week feud between them (had to do it manually) Currently going through that feud and it's been quite good. Just depends really on how often you're willing to have the two people do battle
Milanista83
I usually let universe mode book my matches, when my caw was wwe champion Webhe was constantly having 12 week feuds for the title, is this common? Does universe mode only book 12 week feuds for world titles? As I've not come across short or medium length feuds for either of the world titles

Good to see someone else do the same ha ha, do you make your own rivalries or let universe book them for you?
MarvstaX
From what I've seen (not that I've paid much attention to the times) the Rivalries tend to be 12 weeks for a Major Title, 8 Weeks for Minor/Tag/Diva and 4 Weeks for Non-Title. I could be wrong though
Milanista83
This what I mean 12 week rivalries are no longer common in the wwe, am I right in saying this?
Milanista83
Another thing that really bugs me in 2K14 is that when you are in a rivalry other matches rarely occur such as a triple threat or a tag team, me personally I think yukes/2K have dropped the ball on this one
MarvstaX
Don't forget, this is the first year the Rivalry manager feature has been added for us to control, so it's obviously going to have limitations (just like superstar heads). I'm guessing next year if they keep it (which they should) it'll be boosted to have more options available.

Custom-R
Well, who doesn't? And yeah, I kind of like to play through one CAWs career, and as someone else said, I too, play other matches if they draw interest, or if I feel someone's losing too much. I predominantly do this with at least 2 completely custom, but real shows, featuring superstars/ and divas (more than what we're given!), of the same caliber. At the same time, I have RAW and SmackDown, just untouched. In my Universe, Only 3 shows are up (RAW, SD, an Voltage (which has about 5 or 6 PPVs, and is a 100% custom show). Voltage's rival brand, Fire, isn't up yet because I don't have enough superstars...
