fufu ÷ Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 So I turned on the game, loaded everything up as normal, got to the edit CAW selection screen. I chose the attire I wanted to edit like usual, then the game froze on me for no reason. I checked to see if I could dashboard, turns out the whole console had frozen. So I gave it a few minutes and no change. I turned it off and back on again. I go to select storage device, and it says my data has corrupted, and that I can't use the Creation Suite without DELETING everything - this includes 7 near finished CAWs that i'd yet to upload. I haven't chosen to delete it yet, which is wehre I hope someone here can help... Is there ANYTHING that can be done to save what I did before? I know there are people out there with a means to extracting files and whatnot, so if anyone can help me in any way, please let me know. I'm sort of in a state of disbelief right now, because this is hours, and hours, and hours of work gone. Quote
Alex™ Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Sorry but, at this time. There is no other option but to start fresh Quote
fufu ÷ Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 I don't know, i've looked in my save files, and it's isolated the corrupt file. If I delete just that file from the harddrive, would that allow me to keep everything else? Here's a picture to show you what I mean. Quote

And because of that at this moment, you will have no choice but start fresh, the save data is the most important one, it's like a core. Of course the other files are not broken, but you can't use them with a broken save (the game save). Quote

If that's the case, if you delete that corrupted file, everything else should be okay Quote

Of course the other files are not broken, but you can't use them with a broken save (the game save). The file that's corrupted is just a CAW file though. The actual saved game data is I believe still intact, as are my paint tools - I just can't access them with the one corrupt CAW file. Alex™ Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Oh so it's just a cas. Ok, it just simply broken. When it tells you to delete, just delete you will only loose that broken CAW not everything (If you don't want to risk, then try backing up everything) Quote

And try delete the broken CAW file in the other hard drive and see if it's work. If it's doesn't well you got back up Quote

Smacktalks Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 If you want to back it up you can follow this guide to copy it to your PC, then try deleting it. That way you'll have a backup to try and restore in the future when tools are available.Download USBXTAFGUI_v44.exe.How to Backup Your Xbox 360 Game Save1. Move your game save from your Xbox HDD to your USB drive.2. Connect your USB drive to your PC and open up USBXTAFGUI_v44.exe.3. If you only have one USB drive connected, click File, then Open First USB Drive. If you have more than one USB drive connected you'll need to click on File, Open USB Manually and select the USB drive you want to use.4. On the left of the screen you'll see two folders, click the + next to the folder named Data Partition, then select Content. In this folder you'll see another folder made up of numbers and letters, again click the + next to this, and then also click the + next to the folder inside of this. Eventually you'll see a folder called 00000001.5. Right click the 00000001 folder and select Extract, then choose a location to extract your folder to, e.g. My Documents.6. Once you've extracted your 00000001 folder, click on File and choose Close Current Drive. This can take some time so make sure to wait until the program finishes loading.7. Once the program has finished loading USBXTAFGUI_v44.exe will appear blank, at this point you can remove your USB drive from your PC and plug it back into your Xbox 360.At this point you can then move the files back to your Xbox HDD. I've just re-read this screen, which is making me think that it'll just remove the one CAW. I've sent WWE Games a tweet, so i'm hoping they can shed some light (wishful thinking, right). Thanks for all the help though, i'm a lot more hopeful now than I was an hour ago. Quote

DANIELakaDEE Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 When the screen pops up saying u have a corrupt CAW..all u gotta do is hit yes..it will jus delete that CAW that's corrupted...it will then make u a new game save..& it won't delete your other CAWs Quote
fufu ÷ Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 I can't tell you how relieved I am. I'll try it later, and hope it works. Thanks for your help everyone. I really appreciate it. Quote
