Titavius Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 (edited) Just wondering if anybody is willing to try this out in 2k14? I'm unable to try it at the moment, otherwise I'd give it a go. It should just fit nicely over the current Kane texture in photoshop. if it works, i'll get to work on a 2003 singlet to go with it Edited November 5, 2013 by Titan83 Quote
dyn0myteCAW Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I, too, would love to see how this looks. Quote
jcsix Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 (edited) You'll have to flip it over. For some reason everything is on the opposite side in-game. I only replaced the texture, left the normal.dds default. Bottom is what it should look like when the texture is flipped. Theres the odd thing need adding/altering. But it looks nice in motion Edited November 5, 2013 by jcsix Quote
Titavius Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 I'll work on that now it looks good! i like the way the colours and the stitching looks in-game. here's an updated face texture too, i added his 2003 facial hair and changed the lips to his WWE '12 ones. I'm excited about this one. You still got that singlet texture floating 'round from your '12/'13 CAW? Quote
Titavius Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 Theres the odd thing need adding/altering. But it looks nice in motion Okay, so what I did here was flip the stitching and re-do the red part of the texture. It needed tweaking slightly anyway, so it should now be slightly more accurate. I don't think we've had a full-blown 2003 Kane mod yet. What else would you suggest needs adding? Quote
BrotchMrToast Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 If you're already looking for sugs for the complete model, what about retexturing the skin to make him look more muscular, like he was back then? Quote

That's actually a great idea. Eventually, I wanna be able to give him a complete re-texture. Unfortunately at the moment I'm unable to test them out myself, but as long as there's people willing to give 'em a try, I think we'll end up with a decent looking mod Plus, everyone loves this ruthless aggression era Kane anyway lol Quote
dyn0myteCAW Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I might. I'll have to dig but the CAS is floating around somewhere. Quote
Mathayus Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 (edited) If you want a more muscular version, all that you need is exagerate the muscles marks in bump mapping not touching the texture or alpha channel. I see last year a good work in the attire from IamcrazyPT, but finally he never released that. Maybe he could to send it to you to save you time. Edited November 5, 2013 by Mathayus Quote

Regarding the attire, I know someone who does No Mercy stuff made the attire. I'm sure if you contact him you could use those as a guideline (DaveSavedTheDay, I know he posted recently on caws). Cause In-Game it's like this: but back in 2003 it was more like this: If you want a more muscular version, all that you need is exagerate the muscles marks in bump mapping not touching the texture or alpha channel. I see last year a good work in the attire from IamcrazyPT, but finally he never released that. Maybe he could to send it to you to save you time. That's exactly what I meant, but since I'm not a modder I didn't know how exactly this works EDIT: Maybe you should also try your luck and try to match the color of one or two of the Elbow pads with the Skin color, or if it is possible, remove them completely. Or maybe just make them seem shorter. I mean, it's not like he was constantly without Elbow pads, but it would bring some variety to the mod and maybe the muscles would look better. But what do I know about life. Edited November 5, 2013 by BrotchMrToast Quote
jcsix Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Or even see if last years two sleeved Kane can have parts of his mask removed? Quote
Titavius Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 (edited) I've also darkened the paint around the eyes, as it seemed alot thicker and darker back then. right now, i'm just wondering how i'm gonna put a texture over the current singlet. what i'm thinking is maybe covering the entire thing with his WWE '12 skin/chest/abd texture and placing his 2003 singlet over the top of that. if anybody has any sugs on how to do this, or would like to have a crack in PS.. be my guest! But what do I know about life. That´s don´t work. I tried last year with Kevin Nash and Booker T removing Elbow pads, but since they are modeled, if you edit the texture with the skin colour, you can see the elbow pad form. Looks really bad. Quote

Yeah. I was having another idea, If we can edit the texture model from Kane Head (Superstars Head). There would be a better way to develop a 2003 Kane. PD: If we are able to use PT´s this year. Mathayus Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 You can´t use custom PT´s. But if you could to retexture the Head with the new mask, you don´t need to do that. Only create the attire cause you have the Kane body too. Quote

If you are talking about the In-Game feature, that is adding PT logos or hacked logos on a CAW, then yes, we are able to use custom paint tools in Superstar Heads. Quote
jcsix Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) Sorry it took alittle longer. Same as last time, just replaced the color.dds, no normal.dds edited. Edited November 6, 2013 by jcsix Quote
Mathayus Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 The mask looks amazing. Not liking the goatee. Quote
Titavius Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 it looks fantastic! the mask turned out really well. the goatee is appropriate for the time, so i think we'll keep it. i may thicken it slightly, but other than, it's looking really good Quote
