When and how did this website become what it is today?

Hi people of the Smacktalks forums.

My name is Corey, i haven't been here for much too long however ive had this question on my mind even before i joined.

The question is in the title.

The reason is why i ask this is everytime I've created my own website I've always had trouble with creating it. They usually end up pretty basic and boring. I like the look of this website/forum and want to create a similar website for myself for my own forum.

I've researched where the website was made from but noticed that it costs money to create it, money that i don't exactly have.

So to the Smacktalks forum or even the website creator Paul, how did you accomplish the creation of this fantastic website and how did you get it noticed by others to join it and grow the success?

I would appreciate any and all responses given because it would help me a lot.

Thanks,

Corey.

You should have used zetaboards or something which have awesome themes...

I had this other forum, still do. I find it a little hard to manage though but it is more freedom of use.

YouTube and me. End of story.

Best story ever that comes from the mind of moderator of the month. Truly amazing work.

I'm pretty sure that was sarcasm. Either way it's all due to Paul's very successful Youtube Channel and the fact that he's a cool guy, Loyal Members and Mods who have greatly helped make the site the community it is and Caw Makers joining here because they are tired of bullshit and staff politics from other sites.

It was sarcasm lol. But it was funny, well to me at least and hopefully to yourself. I have viewed the forums for years and was scared to join but i just did it because i needed a new place to talk. Originally it was to get more people to my forum game but since then I've actually become quite fond of this site and enjoy it even more everyday.
