Reversal still somewhat easy? and Sound Glitches

Hi,

 

I had serval bugs where there is no audio announcment and plays the wrong entrance theme for WWE Universe Championship bouts. For instance, during Andre the Giant vs Hogan, HBK music played during the intro and howard finkle didn't announce the contestants. Also, during an HBK match, Cole called HBK the Genetic Freak Scott Stiner.

 

Also, does anyone find the reversal system slighty improved, but easy at times?

 

For instance, a series of strike is hard to stop if you dont block the first strike. However its still easy to time the first strike on most strikes. Also, during the collar elbow tie up (initial chain grapple) I seem to have high success rate once you get down the timing. It's usually 1body motion- 2 body motion,  reverse.

 

However the AI is solid and you can make it sim style without to much spamming if you're patient. Can't wait for a fully release 2K WWE game with more simulation AI and mechanics.

I get plenty of sound bugs. A few i've heard are when Cole calls a clothesline a chokeslam, and refers to several superstars as Big E Langston. I had the audio announcement bug for a divas title match, with no announcing of the wrestlers either.

 

Reversals are definitely a big improvement and matches do flow and look a lot better with each match not being as one-sided as '13. I favour these improvements to gameplay over new features and additions completely. I hope they can tweak these and iron out the bugs in patches, or for 2k15. I would rather have the simulation nailed than have new features to play.

I still had some trouble with it, but I have no problem admitting my sucktitude.  :)   Once I discovered that moving the Standing Strike/Grapple sliders (in the Balancing section) farther to the left made reversing easier, I took advantage of it.

 

I wouldn't mind knowing whether the Strike/Grapple Defense attributes actually work this year or if the AI ignores them and goes by the Balancing sliders.  Has anyone played around with this yet?

You sure to the left means easier reversals ? Everyone is always saying to the left makes it harder.

I've had Cole ramble on about how great it was to see Big Poppa Pump back in action during a HBK vs Rock Match.

Also for title matches at PPVs in Universe I've had the announcer in the ring introducing the match with complete silence. 

My won a match with the Rock then and HBK's music was playing over the victory animation.

 

Am also noticing that when a pre match attack happens in Universe cutscenes, the roles are reversed when the match loads.

so Rock comes out and attacks HBK leaving him lying on the ramp but the match loads with Shawn standing over a downed Rock.

The sound glitch is still there because I have heard Michael Cole say "Undertaker hits the Tombstone Pile Driver" and all I was doing with Taker was simple standing moves.  So 2K definitely need to change their system of doing commentary to accurately reflect what is going on in the match.  They need to make certain phrases only available once the animation has been executed.  IE Taker doing the Tombstone would then allow whomever to say he actually hit it after he did.  Because otherwise, that whole commentary is off and it makes a difference to me and comes off being remnants of the old THQ team's lazy efforts on commentary. 

 

As for the reversal system, I have found it to be much more difficult this year.  It is impossible at times to reverse whereas in WWE '13, I was chain reversing kind of effortlessly.  Which is cool at times yet frustrating at others.

Agree on the reversals being harder this year, I'm not getting any younger by the years and my reaction time aint what it use to be years ago, so it's sometimes too hard for me to reverse. As for the audio problems I have them too, I had cole say something about Curt Hennig lol. Other audioglitches I have is announcers that are silent, custom tag teams made from caws have no entrance music etc.
