as i said this isn't a request

i was sitting on my chair when it hit me,,,,

why not use button activators on movesets!!

i tried the following

i tried creating a code that when i press the 'select button' my special would automatically switch during a match from sweet chin music 1&2 to sweet chin music 3 and hbk's diving elbow drop pin

i entered the button activator code for controller one and my joker was the 'select button' and my number of lines were 2

no 1 was a move mod for changing hbk's special 1 to the running sweet chin music(sweet chin music 3)

and no 2 was changing hbk's special 2 to his elbow drop pin

but when i tried it ,,,,,,,it didn't work but i didn't give up i changed the controller 1 code (which includes my joker command and my no of lines) from hex to CB but still no luck

what am trying to say is i need help with the button activators so i can create a code that changes my special moves from so and so to so and so when i press the joker button and then when i press this joker again it changes them back to normal during the match

just like using jokers to switch the chamber or hell in a cell or the rumble on&off i need one for a moveset

imagine if this works we can create more than one moveset for a wrestler that means tons and tons of moves

plz plz plz help me with this

or if u can't do it or don't have time just tell me how to create button activators that work or even link me to a walkthrough for button activators

The move mods are part of the "save data". When you start a match, any information from "save data" that's going to be used is loaded into a different area of RAM. You'd need to find out where it loads to in order to make a code like that.

inetresting idea hbk, i had the same my self, glad somebody beat be to the punch. if you're serious about trying this out. go to tigrins site he's got a master archive of all the jokers for hctp. i have been unsucessful in my attempts. well here is his site

now im not toki or tigrin, but i do have some knowledge on activators

i already went to trigin's site

the problem is i dunno how to make button activators and i would sure need some help man

when i tired this is what i came with

Well, that's the problem. Unless you're well-versed in MIPs assembly language and/or the original language the game was programmed in, there's no way of telling where the game sends that information to. A while ago I was picking at what I believed to be the P1 in-match section of RAM, and found a couple of little codes for P1. There were several major problems, though:

- The slus file is utterly useless for it, you just have to put in codes and hope they do something that you'll notice.

- The codes only worked on Superstars, not CAWs.

- Judging from the offset between the P1 codes and the P2 codes, it a huge area to be trying to hack without any way of knowing where it starts and stops, and what the normal values at any given address should be. It's a needle in a haystack, fellaz.

- The game likes to lock up a lot if you don't use a proper value.

I'm not saying it's impossible, in fact, I'm sure it can be done. It's just that it would take a long, long time with the tools we currently have to find the necessary codes.

Hopefully, someone will get a fully-functional emulator up and running. That would allow us to at least pause play and check values in RAM. I wouldn't get too itchy about it, though, because the guys working on emulators are basically doing it for free.

umm, ive said it before,and ill say it again, im no hacker, but what your thinking is like adding a cell to a match, in the middle of the match, its not possible.

only way u can do this, is if any of the other wrestlers in the ring already have the move, because your forcing the game to perform a move it never loaded before the match, causing it to lock up, now if someone already has the move, even if it aint u, then its already loaded, and can be done with ease, probably even using the codes your trying right now.

I know this cause when i created moves in Sd2, i made 3 moves, the Razorz Bomb, which was the Razors Edge, into the Tori Bomb, and another i remember was the Super Jacknife Powerbomb. which was the Last Ride into the Super powerbomb "the one where he throws the wreslter, and u can even use it to throw someone offthe cell" i did this one mainly cause i like seeing the wreslter taunt like Taker/Diesal and then he does the release pwerbomb which was cool, cause u can do it to make someone fly out of the ring.

since i didnt have the second part to these moves, i simply made my Favorite moves one of these, and the game thought i had it, even though i didnt, cause a favorite move doesnt mean u have it, so whenever he did the Last ride, it would do it for like 2 sec, and then change into the Super pwoerbomb, a perfect mix, cause u couldnt even see when the first move ended, and when the second move began, same with the Edge to tori bomb, he taunts liek Razor, and then instead of doing the edge, he does the tori bomb which looked cool too, lol.

well toki, i dont think he's off to a bad start, like you said you need to be well versed in mips language. i think it might be impossible to hack moves for 4 and 5 because of the weapons interactions bs. but there is a way around that though. btw hbk if you want to joker a code i suggest taking the normal code that you want, say like your combo move idea, and put a joker at the start of the move and at the end of the move, make sure it's the same joker code though otherwise it will glitch and freeze the game. BUT you need a code in there to tell the move where to go.(wich to my knowlege no body has found yet) before you joker the code. i found the select joker always easier to use than the others, always worked for me for sd2 pretty well.

so lets get serious now

yesterday i stayed awake trying to create a code that enables u to have more than one moveset for one wrestler and at 5 am i finally did it

there's only one flaw with this code am about to give u

first let me explain

i created a code to give hbk 4 specials instead of 2 and it worked

first i went to trigin's site again and took a look at rumble on,rumble off and rumble on and off codes respectivley to understand how to create a button activator

so i tried it on my code but it didn't work

but then i thought trigin has two codes in order to switch them from on to off right?

so i must create the original special move mode of hbk too

and that's what i did

so i created this code

(note this code is only for adding to shawn 2 more specials not everyone else)NOTE THIS CODE IS CODE BREAKER CODE

now the first line is the joker command for the 'select button' and the two codes beneath the joker command r the original hbk special move mods-

the fourth line is the second joker command 'L3' button and the lines beneath it r the codes for the new special move mods (sweet chin music 3 and the diving elbow drop pin 2)

now let's talk about that flaw i told u about

u can't change ur move mods during the match for example u just can't press L3 to change them to the new special move mentioned above and then press select again to go back to normal

u can only do that at the loading screen after the enterances,the one that gives u gameplay hints and tips.on that screen keep taping the l3 button or maybe tap it once not sure yet then when playing the match hbk's special move mods will change to the new ones.say u wanna switch back to normal then at ur very next match tap select at the loading screen after the intros.

so we need someone now to try to hack this so u can change it during a match

i know toki that u told me u need to know where the save data is stores in order to load it during a match

so i understand we need to input some kinda code that allows u to open that area for saving moves anytime right?

anyways am so glad i achieved this

dude nice job, now if you can only get it to where you can use the code for others as well...

and if you can get it to where you got the bugs worked out so we can use it for caw's as well as normals.....

oh man i can have some fun!!!!

and toki's right. i think you need to know where to be able to store the moves so we can start hacking for this game!!!! ;)

now can you do this for sd4 as well???

thnx man

ok here is what i did

first u enter the joker command for controller 1,

use the button activator that u wish for and the no of lines depends on how many moves u wanna change

so say u wanna change the rocks 'rock buttom' to a pedigree and the peoples elbow to a stunner

u enter the joker command for two lines and choose the jokers u want but i prefer u use different jokers like i did i used select and L3

the first joker is for the rock's original move mod 'select'

u have to make a move mod for the rock's normal finishers(rock buttom.ppl elbow)ok

then u create another joker command with the new button activator 'L3' for the move that u wanna replace the originals with,again two lines ok

then u make a move mod to change the rock's first special to pedigree

and then another move mod to change his secons special to the stunner

and that's it all u have to do is press L3 at the loading screen after the intros so that when u start the match u will have pedigree and stunner as ur finishing moves

and in ur next match if u wanna be normal again press select at that same loading screen and when u start ur match u'll have ur normal finishers back again

this can be done for any move not just finishers

and lastly i still dunno if it's savable

i hope that helps man

if it doesn't then tell me what u wanna change and for whom and i'll try to do it ASAP

durrrrr....

i think i get how this code works now

you joker the code

using say the f-5 and the stunner as your start fins

and your jokers change those moves at the now loading screen

into say the gore and the rock bottom

not combining say the f-5 and the stunner to make a new move

nice job on the code though

yeah that's the idea with this u can have tons and tons of moves

and it works for other normal moves as well not only finishers

it's more like the attires u choose them before the match

here u choose wich moveset u want before the match

imagine using four or even five jokers that means having 5 movesets to choose from

i really dont know why u need more then 2 specials, not even the REAL superstars have 3 specials, and u want 4??

anyways nice job, but like i said, i knew it was impossible for u to make this code work normal, u basically replaced a finisher, before the match, try doing this.....

make a custom CAW with the both extra finishers

keep the code u use, except during the match try switching them, since the game already loaded the EXTRA finishers cause of your CAW, the game should have no problem letting u perform them.

if yall think this is a load of crap, then it isnt me whos trippin, its common sense that they froze on u the first time cause the game never loaded those moves, but with your EXTRA CAW with the EXTRA finishers u want, the game has loaded those extra finishers into the game, making it VERY possible for this to work.

i don't understand u man

first my code is to give ppl more moves even normal moves even attacks done with the x button and extra moves that u want just like a second attire u can have a second complete moveset that can be choosen before the start of the match.

and it doesn't freez it really works i done it myself

but i would like u to explain that part again about caws how can i give it extra moves that can be chosen during the match not just before it
