nikethebike Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I mean for example the LOWM models? Who knows, perhaps 2K14 has better backwards compatibility? Quote
OverTheEdge Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I haven't tried it, but I'd say it's doubtful. Even if you open the older models in 3Ds Max they're not quite the same as the ones from '12, '13, and 2K14. I'd definitely love to be wrong here, though. It could be worth a shot. Quote
nikethebike Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 I doubt it as well, but it should always be worth trying. Some of the models look very close to their LOWM model so who knows, perhaps they reimplemented support for older models, perhaps for the development phase? Quote
nikethebike Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 Also, someone said, historically 2K has been way more modder friendly than THQ, so who knows? Quote
HeymanHustle Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 What about SVR 11? models look near enough to 12 Quote
nikethebike Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 Yeah but I know SVR11 didn't work on WWE12. But all are worth trying again when there's a new game out. Quote
XHP Original Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Even though I also doubt it'll work, I agree that it's worth a try. The LOWM models should work if the SvR 2011 models work, as well as the older models from SvR 2007 and up on the 360 and SvR 2008 and up on the PS3, since there was very little difference between those older model formats from what I know.. The only thing is if, let's say they only re-implemented the functionality for LOWM models, then any SvR game that was released after LOWM, such as SvR 2010 and SvR 2011, their models might just have some glitches, or simply not work at all.. Quote
Red Rooster Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Even though the model for Ultimate Warrior looks very similar to the LOWM model the texture placements are completely different so I doubt old models work but its worth a try. Quote
DRAVEN Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 (edited) old models dont crash the xbox.. it crashes the game giving it the dirty disc error..and that was just adding the 2010 pac file Edited October 30, 2013 by DRAVEN Quote
zhigge Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 old models dont crash the xbox.. it crashes the game giving it the dirty disc error.. and that was just adding the 2010 pac file is this from past experience only or from you trying in wwe14? Quote
nikethebike Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 I'm pretty sure we'd need to inject the pach into a wwe2k14 pac, not just use the pac. Quote
Connor MacLeod Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I tried a 2011 pac and it gave a fatal crash when loading the match, but that was just with using a normal pac. I will try Nike's idea after my son gets off the bus from school & I pick him up. Quote

Connor MacLeod Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Itried the Luger pac file , both with the normal pac & the pach inserted into a 2014 pac (The Rock) and got the same crash both times. Quote
OverTheEdge Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 That's too bad. Definitely can't complain though, seeing as we still have all of the models from '12 and '13 that are compatible. Thanks for trying it out, man. Quote
XHP Original Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Yeah, thanks for trying. The only other way I can I think of, is by swaping all of the actual model files (The YOBJ files) from a SvR pach into a WWE'2k14 pach, but I don't know if that's even worth trying.. I guess it would kinda seem pointless, considering the other methods didn't work.. Quote
HeymanHustle Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 (edited) That is too bad, but i counted an additional 55 characters 12 and 13 combined that could be added to 2K14 as DLC, if it's pulled off, and a load of alternate attires you could use by porting the older model, that's more than enough. Prime8 Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 The textures might come in useful. Surely between 12, 13 and 2k14 there will be someone with a somewhat similar model to at least some of those wrestlers so with a bit of editing, they could possibly be recreated. Quote

I think Brienj was about to be able to import any past model but we ll never know. Quote
