How to import paint tool images for RGH/Jtag.

I been modding for a long time but I couldn't get this to work for shit! *Ron Simmons Voice* DAMN!

I tried this method and replaced the whole 2 file. I could only see one of my pt repeated in different colors and transparent. I'm guessing I should only import a couple at atime?

doesn't work for me, crashes the game everytime... i was creating my tga's using photoshop but i'll try the program you suggest before i write this method off completely... I have a hunch that i know what's going wrong with this method... but i cant say for sure until i get the program you spoke about.

it looks like its happening cuz of the ps

just search optpix on google u will find it

i checked first 14 slots and damaged slots are 5,9,12,14 on T002

Thx dude I downloaded optic so I'll try with that.

 

 

tga must be created in optix, otherwise, they will looks weird in game, if the game crash it's probably because you save it in the wrong format, I guess, you don't save them at 8bpp. I posted a tuto last year on how to make the images ready to inject I'll check if I can find it and post it here

in order to inject textures in the ed49.pac, your image must be saved as tga format, 256 colours, you need to use optix studio to save it otherwise the textures will looks weird.

1) open the image you want to inject with a graphic tool (I use photoshop)

2) change the image size to 128 x 128

3) reduce the color to 256

4) save your image

for the transparence remember to save it as png, so it will keep your transparence info, unfortunately if you want to set opacity on your textures itself, you still have to use tekken method, since reducing to 256 colors the image delete the opacity

5) open the png with optix, as you see the alpha channel is already set

6) save it as tga, your textures is now ready

your alpha channel is full transparent, use the tuto I just posted

I tried everything you said step by step, but still dont works, I always get fatal crash when I start the game :mad: . Maybe is problem in X-packer or usb stick or should I edit arc files in Hex Editor (how). 

 

Should I change

ed49.pac.uncompressed.bak file into ed49.pac.bak or ed49.pac

or remove bak from arc files

or change EPAC0 to EPK8

 

???

I got it going. Just some spaces are corrupted.

 

If you use the tutorial on the first page you dont need to switch it to EPK8, the program XBCompressor does it for you. Yes you need to rename it to "ed49.pac". The tutorial is correct word for word, been doing it all week.

yeah it works just fine for me only thing that was stopping it from working before was the fact that I wasn't Saving it with 256 colors in photoshop before I exported it as png... thank you to the op and tich

Tich i fucking luv u! i just followed ur tutorial and i think you've helped me solve my problem with creation suite textures! I've gotta test some things in game but you've definitely helped!

 

edit: awww, i got excited prematurely lol. It didn't solve my creation suite problem but it did fix my pt problem they work now so your tuto still helped!

Finally its works for me, does someone knows which spots in T002 dont works, I have read that

dont works, is this true?
