Im keen to help, Ive already started working on alt attires for Ultimate Warrior

How about WM7 attire? Definitely a match that should have been in this game...

Update: Old school Flair needs a face texture update as well, Mr. Perfect actually looks pretty good...

I would like to help out as well, but for some reason when I open a pac file with the replaced EPK8 header I get an unexpected error. I'm using X-Packer 8.1 instead of 8.2 because I couldn't get a download for 8.2, I don't know if that's the reason but I put the error in a spoiler below if anyone wants to take a look.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

If he tells you to use 8.2... You use 8.2.

I understand that, but I couldn't find a download. The one on his site is down, and all the others I've found is 8.1. If someone has a download for 8.2, I would really appreciate a link.

I was wondering if people here were interested in helping each other create a modded community patch for this game with updated textures for most characters in the game (at least the legends), sort of like the old patch brienj did for 2010 (even though it added characters which we can't do yet).

I personally feel many characters look way too cartoonish and the default textures aren't good at all.

I think it would be a good start to just update face textures, the work Tekken did on Hogan shows how much the models can be improved and how much better they look with decent textures.

Second would be to update movesets, I haven't been into everyone yet but it is enough to look at Hulk Hogan to know how much these movesets need updating. Personally I'd like to hack the movesets. So many of the move slots are insanely limited in what moves you can set where, I really hate that.

Third would be to optimize the gameplay slider settings (and stats if possible) to get the best possible game play.

Fourth would be to import characters from 12 & 13 into the game, however work on that cannot yet be started due to some hacking work that needs to be sorted first.

Anyone interested in joining up for a project like this?

Glad to see you're into this game Nike, I also think with some texture improvements this could be a classic.

I was just thinking that they were not very consistent with the textures in this game, there are the good ones like Batista and Taker...then there are a slew of sub par face and body textures like Hogan which make a lot of the models look strange or like they are plastic.

I might be interested in eventually redoing some face textures, but it's been awhile and I'm going to  need a refresher tutorial on modding 360 textures again.

Im using 8.1 and it works fine, decompress the pac, hex edit and change to epk8 and it opens fine in XPacker 8.1

Hey coroner! Would love to see you join in on this considering the talent I know you possess.

Still wish there was a tutorial section or something where it would be easy to find where to start with everything. Personally I have not yet texture modded on the 360.

Would love to jump back into it for just this game, i'll have to start from scratch because all my modding stuff was lost. but i'm definitely interesting in doing some again.

If importing titantrons is anything like last years, I can help in updating these.

Thanks to theredrooster I'm able to extract the pacs now, so I think I may work on a Dean Ambrose re-texture.

At the texture sadly i dont think we can replace them with hands taped up but idk we might be able to.

Yeah, that was my main goal for the re-texture. I know the gloves were the main complaint with most people.

So glad to see the community pulling together and pooling their talents and resources already. Righteous should be on your short list for recruiting for movesets. In addition to adjusting the in-game sets meticulously, he also creates removed moves from their parts in create a move to fill in the missing holes.

Every year I begin this work myself but never complete it. I'd suggest getting the base save for movesets done early on though, unless X-packer has some way to add or import them from a template file like Brien created with his 2011 editor. It's a pain to manually edit them all or to have a base save you import caws to, which then requires resaving each attire. From experience, having the movesets done on the frontend saves much headache down the line.

I'd offer to help, but with our baby now just a few weeks old, I'm unlikely to find much time to contribute, much less play the game. IT's also the reason I haven't had time to post much lately. Best of luck! It would be a huge contribution to the community and would demonstrate to the developers what's possible with this series moving forward.

Compiled and updated first post. Feel free to tell me if I forgot something.

I think we should start by fixing the default textures since we still do not know how long it will take until we can add/rename characters and update attributes/height/weight and so on.

I'll be fixing everyone up who has anything wrong on there attire from there actual WrestleMania match. So yeah, add me to fix all those. That also includes faces :p (Like Bigs Shows WM2000 top, Edge tattoos, Hogan WMx8 face fix, WM2000 Foley attire. The list is huge).

Also, WM 7/8/13 Undertaker, Dudes with Attitudes HBK/Diesel, Bret Hart face and CM Punk face/attire. And thats just to start!

Dudes with attitudes is a great idea Jcsix
