Do the modding softwares work on Windows 8?

Hi,

I have to change my laptop, my question is :

Will Xpacker, YukesPACArchiver and so... (I have so many modding tools.....) work on Windows 8?

I hear people say that windows 8 sucks but will I be able to still mod the game?

Sounds like a simple question but obviously important to me

While I can't say for sure, as I've never dealt with it myself, I do recall people talking about running into issues with them on there.

X-packer should work on windows 8, haven't tried it though.

I'm on Windows 8 and the only mod software I've ever encountered problems with are the ones created and developed by Brien J his mod tools are awesome so it really sucks, there's other software too though. :3

Windows 7 is the best IMO, tried windows 8 and i hated it.

Windows 8, almost all softwares are working on it. And VM for those that are working only on Windows 7.

brienj ones (they aren't working on Windows 8 because they aren't compiled with the latest version of Visual I believe)

 

VM = Virtual Machine, you can use other Operating System with it.
