Impaler
hi, for those how have the game - how are the knockouts? are they easy to achieve? on all normal settings. can you knock somebody out with a front/back grapple or groggy grapple move? or only by signature or finisher? (damn I hope this gets fixed this year)... Simply play a 1 on 1 singles match, wear down your opponent, perform up to 10-20 strong grapples and hit a finisher. Did you KO or not? this is how I asked about it a few years earlier. have you noticed that K.O. starting with 2009 year is irrelevent? Untill 2009 you fight for a few minutes, perform a dozen for hard hitting grapples - hit a one or a couple of powerful finishers - wham you get a nice K.O. - you dont have to beat every part to red. But starting with 2009 and forward - K.O. factor became sensless. As far as I've found out you can demolish your opponent for 15 minutes giving him a powerful finisher every minute and you won't KO the opponent - because his LEGS are orange, not red. You say 15 PUNT KICKS to the head wont KO a person?? BUT when you actually do the STRONG PUNCH OR KICK, that move when you just hold down the strike button - WHAM - opponent is KO'd, from a CHOP. A CHOP or a punch. WWE 12 had a terrible system, KO'ing was pretty much a waste of time. sometimes even 30 finishers didnt KO an opponent it. However in WWE 13 this was almost fixed very nicely. You can KO normally but sometimes again, 10 finishers and the bastard is still standing. later do same rematch, and you ko with a second finisher. I couldnt grasp what makes it work like that. drives me mad when i hit 5+ finishers and still no KO. plus a very unpleasant thing was that regular grapple moves from front / behind could cause KO. that sucked! is it so hard to give us an extra setting in options, huh? zhigge
well i know when you turn the KO option on in wwe14 the game announces the match, regardless of any other changes , as being one where you can only knockout your opponent to win. Impaler
played wwe 14 this morning - KOs seem to be nicely tuned this year although I'm very upset that regular grapple moves can cause KO as well and there is no way to turn it off Edited October 29, 2013 by Impaler
