the King Lives Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 You can get texturing 100% right. It's been done before. Not when the game was still working with a limited budget. (Thq). Technically this is still a thq esque game. Quote
nikethebike Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 I'm sad to say this since I'm kind of a perfectionist about these kind of things myself, but whenever there is money in it, you will never get it 100% accurate. You must give the least effort to earn as much money as possible. You will have to learn that too when you start working for a company that wants to make money, not loose it. Every hour you put into a detail that does not really matter is taken either from the time you should have spent on something else (perhaps more important) or as over time. Depending how the company works this could mean unpaid additional time away from the family or it could mean that the budget is broken when the over time has to be paid. The programmers are just doing their jobs, well of course for many of us a dream job, but still. Remember this is a company that must make money, not an open source project. In my opinion, this is why they should make it as easy as possible for us to mod their games or incorporate tools to import images and stuff, then share it on CC. That way they could care less about attires and models and concentrate on the core game and let all the dedicated modders help them with the rest. I hope this is how superstar heads will work. Quote
LupinThe13th Posted September 27, 2013 Author Posted September 27, 2013 You can get texturing 100% right. It's been done before. Thank you. Modders make these corrections every year. I see so many impressive mods each year. It'd be cool if we could send in textures when things like this happen. A few fixes here & there & we get a more authentic look while they have more time to work on other things. I hear ya, it's just some things could be easily fixed. I understand where you're coming from, though. Quote
Titavius Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I totally understand why some attires are incorrect... but what I don't get is on some of those incorrect attires, why can't they just change the textures? It takes somebody with an RGH a couple hours to replace a game texture with his own. Yukes have access to a hell of a lot more textures than we do.. is this something they can't do themselves? Quote
