Yin Yang Bought In Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Confession: I think the role playing thread is dying Quote
BrotchMrToast Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I think creating 9 attires for a CAW from oneself is really sad. Quote
fufu ÷ Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Ooooh bitch got his claws out. I didn't say you were sad people, per se. More I find the act of pretending to be someone else through text a little bit sad. And hey, as for making 10 attires for my CAW, I don't see that as sad. That's called practicing for a potential career in graphic, fashion, or gear design. I've got big ambitions, and there's probably no better medium for practicing that than through these games. If setting up your future by way of your hobby is sad, then niqqa what you guys do must be like suicidal tendencies. #rekt Quote

BrotchMrToast Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 (edited) You're right, that's what you like to do, and you have fun doing it, so it's completely ok. But, so is roleplaying IMHO. In some of form of a way, roleplaying is like playing video games. You pretend to be someone else and do things that you can't do in real life. Who knows, maybe someone is practicing to write shows etc because he/she would like to become a Booker in some point of his life? Edited May 18, 2014 by BrotchMrToast™ Quote
Tamer™ Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I use my knowledge from years of reading English plays in school and learning the structure of the English language and I combine that with what I know about Professional Wrestling and I use that when I type something in the RP Section. Maybe I could be using that as a gateway to booking wrestling shows in the future, and I know that Brotch and Metal both apparently dream of becoming pro wrestlers and making it into the WWE one day so they could be using that as practice. fufu ÷ Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Roleplaying games are typically ways for people to live out things they never will accomplish - because they are mentally incapable of doing it. I don't live through Alex Haze. I don't pretend it's me doing that shit - whereas roleplaying is literally pretending to be someone else. If I play a racing game I don't think i'm a racecar driver. You want to be a booker? Anyone can be a booker. Go buy yourself a ring and get some local wrestlers to roll around in it for you. Roleplaying wont aid that in the slightest. If you wanna be a good booker, start studying TV, movies and stage shows, production techniques, business management. It'll help you a hell of a lot more than pretending to be a 6'4 guy ripped to the chin who goes into the GM's office every day asking for a match. Also, that post was far from rekt. Quote
BrotchMrToast Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 (edited) Well, first of all, when did I say that the only thing I do is roleplaying, to archive my goal? I AM studying TV shows, movies, stage shows etc. But roleplaying, for me, is very relaxing and gives me an alternative to actually being a booker at this point. Because, in case you didn't know, it's pretty fucking hard buying a ring and signing talent at 16 years age. I sure as hell won't be roleplaying when I'm 20 or older, that's for sure. But for now, that's the only perspective I have. I don't see it as "training", but MAYBE it can give me an idea of how Booking a show works. Also, there's a reason I own a RPG on this forum, yet rarely post on it (let alone be active in any other RPGs) the only thing I do is plan the "shows" and write the matches, because that's fun for me. I like writing matches (or scripts, if you want) I don't see how that makes me sad or incapable of becoming a Booker at some point of my life. Also, I was just imitating you. None of your posts ever "rekt" anyone, either. Edited May 18, 2014 by BrotchMrToast™ Quote

fufu ÷ Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 It did. You're still smarting from how #rekt you were and still are. If you wanna roleplay, go for it. I just find it incredibly lame, and felt the need to share that thought. But for real, as much as I doubt that much of what you do classes as studying the art, good luck with that. Don't let the doubters dissuade you. Go forth and prove me wrong. Quote
BrotchMrToast Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 (edited) Nah, I am just trying to prove a point. Buy, if you want to think that you #rekt me, then I won't be the one to break it to you. Anyways, I could argue with you longer about how I do not think that Roleplaying can be verified as "studying the art" and how I do study filming etc, but let's just call it a day. Tamer™ Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I study filming, well I try in school but I'm in a class full of idiots who laugh and mock the teachers Scottish accent so I'm not learning spit. Quote

RoKaDiTz Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I also wasn't sad when stone crusher passed away, didn't knew anything about him so... Also, to the list of members I dislike: Nickbreaker, huge ego, shameless at times. Big Pete when he goes all defensive kissing ass of nCo members, Arage... I haven't interacted with him but I find him really weird and boring tbh. Quote

Nate Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 (edited) Confession?: At Wrestlemania Rock made Hogan and Austin look like two kids pulled in from the audience. Edited May 26, 2014 by nate Quote
DP1™ Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 I've got to get this off my chest. I fucking hate it when one of you Golden Era/Attitude Era fanboys come on here and diss current wrestling, WWE, TNA, indies, it doesn't matter. I understand that those are your favorite time in wrestling, I understand that. But the fact that you all just shit on guys like Adam Rose, Sami Zayn, Emma, etc etc is just pure ignorance. In your days, you had a clown wrestling. A FUCKING clown. You had a male PORNSTAR gimmick, a PIMP, a guy who was the hardcore champ and carried a scale around claiming to be over 400 pounds. And you claim Adam Rose to be stupid. Yes, it is a watered down version of what it might have been in the 90's, but still, how can you love even more retarded gimmicks? You even had a scrawny guy as the light heavyweight champion pretending to be Goldberg! If you hate the current product, either watch another wrestling company that delivers what you want, or just quit watching. 2 Quote
