Alternate Finisher

I'm actually curious how these work. I read up that if you have one grapple and one ground finisher, the alternate one will be the direction + Y on standing. However that's not been happening for me. 

 

I also read that they can be table finishers, but again, nothing.

The alternate finisher is the table finisher, it will only work off of the table when you have 2 non-standard grapple finishers.
