So i'm thinking of getting a new Full HD TV next month, I'm thinking of running my PS2 through component so I was wondering if PS1 games would still work through Component too. Since when I tried playing a PS1 game on my friend's HD Ready TV all we got was pixel burn from the pause menu so then we couldn't see on screen.

My future plans are to become a Let's player after I buy a Roxio Capture Pro HD. So I could record my 360 in HD, and PS2 in Component HD.

So will PS1 games still work in component HD or will I still have to run it in Composite/AV?

AV i guess but Elgato is a better Capture Card coz they even give you a free HDMI Cable and It even works on Mac too! and all consoles work on it.

My laptop wouldn't handle an Elgato. It's only just under the requirements, I would rather have one which I can run than one my laptop would struggle to run.

Sadly, so yeah. Pfft HDMI cables are so cheap, I can get a gold plated one from Amazon for £1.36, so i'm not going to complain. Roxio is still a good capture card, I even consulted Micheal Manna (AKA Stevie Richards.) since he runs his own tech webshow etc. And he recommended it too.

PS1 games don't upconvert anywhere near HD quality, but that would work. Just a word of advice, don't skimp on HDMI ports. ><! Mine only has 2 and unfortunately, I'm getting the PS4, Xbox One, going to use my TV as a PC gaming monitor and my DirecTV receiver is connected via HDMI. Seems like they're pushing it on nearly everything now. Now I have to go and buy one with 4 ports and I just bought this one 2 years ago.
