Beaudreaux Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 So im seeing a lot of stuff about a wrestlemania mode on the next game. This sounds like an incredible new mode, but i have a few questions and predictions. First are the all the arenas u play the matches in going to be for play now? And for the superstars in the match, will they have a seperate attire for different matches? Quote
Beardy Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 (edited) How would we know? Everyone knows the same amount of stuff about this mode as you do. Not sure what you're expecting here. If I were to guess about the arenas, I'd say yes, they will be useable in Exhibition, and Universe Mode. Edited August 16, 2013 by Beardy™ Quote

best in the world Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Still, this is a good topic to speculate on. I really like the idea of going back and reliving 30 years of Mania moments simply because it is an entirely new concept at least in current WWE games. Kinda like taking the best of "Legends of WrestleMania" and mixing it with WWE '13, which will make for a great contrast and make the game worth having. Quote
buddyboy101 Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 I feel like everyone's forgotten Legends of Wrestlemania, which is pretty much identical to this year's 30 Years of WM mode. Pretty much the entire roster was in LOWM, except for Diesel, Razor, and Savage. But LOWM had Bossman, Perfect, Jake, and LOD, who as far as we know are not in WWE 2k14. LOWM had similar visual packages leading up to each match and even required you to simulate certain events during the match to mirror history - they used this idea in the Attitude Era mode last year. Anyways, as excited as I am about the game and roster, let's not forget LOWM was a foundation for the 30 year mode. Quote

However, I am going to put this game ahead of LOWM for two reasons. First, I would take Diesel, Razor Ramon, Macho Man Randy Savage, and Goldberg over Bossman, Perfect, Jake The Snake, and LOD any day. Only my opinion. Second, I couldn't stand the gameplay of LOWM. Yes, the roster was phenomenal. Not doubting that for a second. I just couldn't stand the controls for the game. Felt awkward at best. I'm just happy to see all these legends make an appearance on the main WWE video game franchise. By far, the best roster I've ever seen. And they haven't even released the full active roster. Literally cannot wait for this game! Quote
buddyboy101 Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 I agree, the controls of LOWM were awful and completely unintuitive. Too me, nothing will beat the accessibility of No Mercy and WM2000. But yeah I'm super exicted about seeing the rest of the roster. Hopefully they don't waste the DLC spots on people like Honky Tonk, Dusty, Lawler, and Michael Hayes, who somehow found himself in both LOWM and All-Stars. Quote

Simply because some didn't like the setup of LOWM it was kind of overlooked in favor of WWE All-stars, which I refused to play. I liked NBA Jam back in the day, but that concept isn't a good idea to me in wrestling. Of course I'm not a fan of the whole PG thing so cartoony wrestling games aren't my thing. I'd rather have realism and accuracy over exaggeration and cartoony gameplay. I also feel that Acclaim's "Legends of Wrestling" series gets overlooked too because remember, that's where THQ got their idea in the first place for LOWM. I liked how Acclaim gave the legends four different attires from four different eras in their careers and didn't waste slots on multiples of the same superstar and 2K should take this concept with WWE games because it would allow more roster space for left out legends/current stars.
