Cutting backgrounds out.

Recommended Posts

I'm relatively new to Photoshop, and photo editing, so please cut me some slack once again. Okay, so if you've seen some of my renders in my other thread, you'll notice I have not cut out any of the backgrounds that were originally in the pic. Why you ask? Well because I don't know the easiest way to cut them out. I've tried the quick selection tool method, didn't go to well, I've tried magic eraser...garbage, I've tried just about everything you can think of, which probably isn't good for me. But anywho, I was just wondering what method some of you would suggest? I'm almost ready to just ask someone to cut out the backgrounds for me. lol

The Best one (For me, of course):

Part 1:

Part 2:

Or you use the Goo'old Polygonal Lasso Tool, select the area that you want to remove and Done.

Like the white background behind Kurt Angle in this pic. Sometimes, the magic eraser tool will work, but sometimes, it'll erase parts of said person or things body. And yes there is a white background behind him, obviously you can't see it. lol

Nope, no there isn't, see the quoted message, the background color behind him is now grey.
