Beardy Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 So I've been trying to do my own renders for quite some time, and just can't get it right. Suggestions would be nice, no smart ass comments please. I know it's not perfect, that's why I'm making this thread in hope to get better at making these. Keep in mind, I have an extremely old version of photoshop, CS2, so I don't have the same capabilities as some of you might have. Anyways, here it is...
Alex™ Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Sorry man, but it's look just like a normal cut that is darker to me
Beardy Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 Sorry man, but it's look just like a normal cut that is darker to me No need to be sorry, I'm just trying to get better. :)2
Bob_Van_Dam Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I'm not good with this stuff but did you play with the curves yet?
Alex™ Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Sorry man, but it's look just like a normal cut that is darker to me No need to be sorry, I'm just trying to get better. :)2 I suggest you to move on with a newer version of PTS (at least CS4 or CS5). And use the topaz plugins
Beardy Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 That's a bad picture to start with. I agree. : I'm not good with this stuff but did you play with the curves yet? Not really. I'll mess around with it. And use the topaz plugins I would, and all, but I'm just not willing to pay for something I know I won't use that often anyways.

Beardy Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 Topaz is needed. Hmm okay. And there's no such plugin for the old version of PS that I have?
Beardy Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 Okay. Well, I appreciate the feedback guys, I'll keep messing around, and possibly get a newer version of PS in the future. When/if I do, you can guarantee I'll share my new render attempts with you guys. :)2 For the time being though, this topic can be closed.
Alex™ Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Here's mind. Some tips though: Topaz plugins (Clean then Adjust), mess with the curves, dodge + burn, reduce noise some smart sharpen, play wit the saturation and done. That's what i did, but i can't reveal the exact settings....etc. Sorry, but really hope it's helped
