As you all know, WWE 2K14 is on its way, but this year it will be skipping The Big N and going straight to Sony and MS. Therefore In order to survive this, I do believe some modding of the last WWE game on a Nintendo console is in order so that hardcore Nintendo buffs like me can continue to enjoy it. So I come showcasing some of the mods I've been working on. Note that these are not texture mods for the Dolphin Emulator, these are directly injected into the WWE '13 ISO using WiiScrubber and played on Wii via a USB loader. I recommend you do not do this unless you own the original game on disc, like me, or else you might end up having some legal issues (although now that I think about it, has anyone ever gotten arrested for using an emulator?) Also at the moment, most of my mods are CAW oriented. I have not done anything in regards to the in-game wrestlers. At least not yet anyway. A quick logo replacement. I injected this into the files that are for the default WWE logos, resizing and recoloring still work for logos injected in this fashion. My only peeve is that the logos have to be 64x64, so you can't see "RKDA" in the red area, due to the downscaling. Here you can see the logos in-game. They work seamlessly with the game and cause no major issues in game play. However, once you inject your custom logos for the first time, it may cause your game to freeze when you load up any characters you made before hand that used any of the old logos, so it's best to back up your game saves before trying this as a safety precaution. Currently, I am working on an arena re-texture, however several issues present themselves at the time of testing it. On the contrary to injecting custom textures for CAWs, when modifying arena textures, not only does each individual new texture has to have the exact filesize as the old one (X-Packer will prevent it otherwise), but the texture archive has to be the same size as the original as well. You can still inject it, however upon loading it up on Wii, the game will freeze instantly. Not only that, but when you load any other arena, the game will get stuck in an eternal loading loop. That being said however, I have not found any way to recompress the texture archive PAC to see if this is truly the cause. I am fairly confident that this is the case however. I'm broke as hell and therefore I can't afford a PS3 or X360, much less one with JTAG 2. That's mainly the fault of my capture card, I use an old Dazzle DVC100 I've had for almost 8 years so the quality is anything but good, but it at least gets me by Quote
