delete Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 No. Not Batman, not yet. Me and my brother have been watching so many superhero films recently, and The Batman Trilogy is one of them. They're beautiful, just amazing. Great acting, great directing, great soundtrack, etc. It couldn't have been better. It's bad enough that they're debuting the new Batman already but just 3 years after the most recent film?! It's a fucking joke! It won't be half as good as the recent trilogy, it's clear that the only reason they're debuting the new Batman is because they want the money. No one can fit the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman as well as Christian Bale, he's an amazing actor and it's a disgrace that they're creating the new film so soon. Quote

That's because they've all been terrible! That's the difference between the Hulk and Batman movies, I'm interested in it but it's way too soon. I personally think they're releasing it in 2015 just to shit on the money that The Avengers: Age Of Ultron are gonna make. Quote
Aero Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 the 2nd and 3rd hulk choices where good... eric bananahammock wasnt so good. also, i'll highlight the other batmen we've had through the years Michael Keaton in 89 & 92... then just 3 years later, val kilmer in 95, 2 years later we had george clooney in 97. 3 batmen in 5 years? its no wonder very few people in gotham ever knew who the batman was. I'm don't have a problem with this cuz, i'm a huge fan of Batman and i know that The Dark Knight Trilogy was amazing but it has nothing to do with the DC Universe and some times even with Batman. Batman should have been go out and be a detective not google in formations about Catwoman. About the story of Bruce Wayne in this new movie, i don't think that they should tell it in the story cuz, there's going to be prequel comics any way. Quote
Professor of Wrestling Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 It's not the friggin' Batman "trilogy". There are like 10 movies now. I hate the word trilogy. And Michael Keaton>Christian Bale all day! OT: I wish they would do a Robin movie with the little squinty-eyed fella from DKR. That's what I was waiting for. I just hate remakes. Tell the story and let the damn thing have some merit with age, not re-create it every 10 friggin' years! This is why I won't see the new Superman. That last one was a trainwreck and no one will ever be considered a real "Superman" aside from Christopher Reeves. The only ones I actually look forward to are the Marvel ones anymore, because they don't keep whoring out and rehashing the same movie and rebranding the same character over and over and over like DC. jitz Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Yeah, I don't see what the big deal is - same character, different actor, different interpretation. The three most recent Batman movies told stories independent of each other, with a small overarching thread related to Batman's place in the world at the time of the movie. It's not even really a trilogy, they never set out to make three, they just all share the same interpretation of the characters. Within five minutes of the Batman/Superman movie, audiences will accustom themselves that this isn't the Batman Christian Bale played, nor is it the Batman portrayed by Keaton, or Kilmer, or Clooney. The origin of the character is the same, they don't need to retell that, the character can be different though. It doesn't even negate Nolan's films, Batman stories rarely reference past material as a way of keeping the canon clean. They're all just stories that took place in Batman's career as a crime fighter. As long as you don't directly contradict, this new film doesn't need explain the differences. Bale's Batman never said he didn't meet Superman, he wouldn't have fitted thematically in the world, but he never said the encounter didn't happen. Quote

last ride 123 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Batman needs to be part of the justice league. They need to put him back on screen soon enough that he is still relevant. The Batman vs. Superman flck will be fantastic. Everything you said about chris nolans drk knight series applies for Man of Steel as well. There are plenty of great actors that could portray The Caped Crusader following Bail. Luke Evans comes to mind at the moment, Michael Fassbender could pull it off...ill list a few more later..my brain is fried atm. But you see there wont be a Batman reboot for quite a few years, its important to keep him relevent in the Universe for the Justice League to ultimately come together. Quote
Nemo Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 i'm in high hopes that we'll get a Batman without a goofy voice this time. also, #only90skidswillremember that there was a different Batman for every movie in that decade: Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney and nobody cared because we were too busy laughing at how bad the non-Burton films were and how one of Batman's suits had nipples.
