last ride 123 Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 (edited) Director Joss Whedon also had the chance to speak about the movie. He said that the Ultron in the movie would be his original take on the character and not based on comic book. "We're doing our own version of the origin story of Ultron...We were crafting our own version of it where [ultron's] own origin comes more directly from the Avengers we already know about," he explained. Whedon also confirmed that the Ant-Man would not be in the movie. "The other thing is in the origin story there was Hank Pim, so a lot of people assumed he was going to be in the mix, but he's not," he said. "We're basically taking the things from the comics for the movies that we need and can use. A lot of stuff has to fall by the way side." However, the announcement proved to be anticlimatic, as fans were expecting casting news. The studio failed to confirm whether Vin Diesel would portray Vision after it was rumored he had been speaking to studio executives. Marvel also failed to announce who would play Quick Silver or Scarlet Witch. During the panel Marvel also had the chance to speak about "Thor: the Dark World" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and how they would connect to the new "Avengers" movie. However, the studio did not speak about Edgar Wright's "Ant-Man" or the other phase three films planned for 2016 and 2017. In 2012, "The Avengers" was released and became the highest opening of all time grossing $207 million. It also became the third highest grossing film of all time domestically and the third highest grossing film worldwide. The new movie will star Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), Scarlet Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Cobie Soulders. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is rumored to play Quicksilver, but Marvel has yet to confirm. The new movie will start principal photography in late February or early March in 2014 and will shoot in London. Disney will later release "Avengers: Age of Ultron" in 2015. I hate the idea of Whedon doing his own take on Ultron. Changing his origin story is just ridiculous, picking and choosing at the comics...no fucking Antman and/or Wasp, no Black Panther...Is Joss Whedon ruining Ultron? It's Ultron now, apparently he's still gonna be in the film but he's not the main villian. And in other news, Thanos is gonna be the main villian in the 2014 Marvel film Guardians Of The Galaxy. ☠King Orclord☠ Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Is it confirmed? Yes it is, look at this:Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer: According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Drax is a human resurrected as a green warrior with the sole purpose of killing Thanos".[10] “There’s a point where I go to set every day and I still can’t freaking believe I got this job,” said Bautista. “It’s something that I wanted more than anything I ever wanted in my life. When I got it, I broke down and cried like a little baby.”[5] Quote

Spyder78 Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Interesting they are going this route instead of having Thanos in it, based off the ending to Avengers Quote

last ride 123 Posted July 24, 2013 Author Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) yes I imagine that this movie is gonna be a failure because of him My thoughts exactly. There are several other actors that could have portrayed Drax better. i personally think Batista is too big and bulky..I wouldve rather seen Aa Djimon Honsou type of body build. Plus Batista has no acting skills whatsoever except for wwe and lets face it...wwe doesnt produce good actors. Ive seen pretty much every movie The Rock has been in and while hes obviously got more talent and years of experience he still is just not a good actor. Batista will be no different because Pro Wrestlers are NOT actors...theyre ENTERTAINERS. Edited July 24, 2013 by last ride 123 Quote
