I'm using CS2. There's no Vibrance setting (It didn't come in until CS4).

Does anyone have any suggestions how to achieve the same effect without the Vibrance setting?

And one last thing. When you changed from Lab to RBG it asked you do you want to Merge the layers, did you choose to merge them?

how about download an more recent version of photoshop?

you mean PHotoshop CC???

Thanks for the smart answer. I meant using CS2. I'm not paying for a new version and I don't get illegal software after some bad experiences with them. I got CS2 for free but its a legit copy from Adobe.

try

CTRL + SHIFT + U + F

That just made it grey. (If that's the shortcut to the vibrance settings, the function isn't available in CS2)

I end up with this. Mix of a little bit of your effect and my topaz effect! I also add the white borders! aCeN30G.png

I agree with Audayalyafi when he says that Topaz ruins it... But this one looks fucking awesome! Great work Alex :)

Well I just figured out that I can't do it, I tried to make a Kane render and it massively failed. I just hope that more people share their renders with this effect here..

I think I've almost got it (unless you left out important steps as alluded to).

Do you merge or discard the saturation hue/adjustment level? It's tough to tell.

I've got the steps typed out if anyone is stuck.

you can merge hue/adjustment by converting your render from lab color to normal RGB

Dude try it again on a HQ render

Thank you for posting the video tutorial, it looks as though it took a while to do. It will help a lot of people to make the renders, and when I get half hour I may even sit down and have a go myself. Thanks.

When I pressed all of those together it gave me the same as if I had just pressed Ctrl Shift F which is Fade Desaturate.

hmmmm you only have 2 choises

1-download New photoshop version and it's not that dangerous all the world use illegal versions

2-add black and white graident effect and controll the opacity

When I change the opacity of the render to 10% it changes the transparency and you can't really see it, how do I fix that?

How did you add the white border?

Ok guys so here's what I've got for now. I know it's terrible but considering that Ahmedios isn't taking requests, I want to render all of my CAWs. It's really bad but I think there's room for improvement so I need your feedback.

I'll experiment with Topaz, by the way Alex I really love your Graves render. Can you make me 3 renders?

Kane:

Rob Van Dam:

Triple H:

If you can make it then can you make it like you did with your Corey Graves one. And you don't need to resize it and convert it to .dds, I can do that. Thanks in advance.

ok guys this is WWE'13 effect tutorial i don't want anyone to say use topaz

in the tutorial i didn't use topaz

you want to use topaz?? fine not in my topic

Nazza i told you before

1-don't use the effect on profile renders

2-use it on HQ renders

Posted

WWE.com profile renders are HQ if you know how to get to the high res ones.

And people are only giving tips and suggestions, no need to lose your shit if someone wants to suggest or use Topaz, along with your settings. It's personal preference.
