Releasing anything that requires people to do anything for themselves is a nightmare. You are constantly bombarded with messages in the thread and over PM when people can't read or misread a step. As for why people don't release stuff, it's a case of it can take a lot of time and effort to perfect things. Myself, I've got a photoshop action that I can apply to wrestlers to make renders. It took me time and tweaking to make it (I'm still tweaking it too, months later), while others sat around and waited to be told how to do it. I never publicly released because if I can take the time to try things, why can't anyone else?
