El Guapo Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 (edited) Hi all, I'm trying to re-texture some models but when I save my altered .dds in Photoshop CS5 no matter how I play with the settings I can't seem to get my edited file to be the same size. Even more annoyingly it's only bigger by a few bytes (1,396,736 bytes vs 1,400,832), but just enough so that XPacker won't like it. Can anyone offer me some advice please? - I even tried opening an exported .dds and saving it again without making any changes. Still to big! - Edited June 17, 2013 by Evil Jeff Quote
bugsyboy Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Normaly you save the color.dds as dxt1 no mipmap and the normal .dds in dxt5 4 mipmap but i dont know whats going on with xpacker because i try myself and got the file is to big message Quote
bravebird31 Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Save both files with 4 mipmaps and you should be good to go. Quote
